“A great venue for a special occasion! We celebrated my aunt and uncle's 50th wedding anniversary here and the experience was exceptional. The manager, Andrew went above and beyond to accommodate our large party. The service was excellent. Our servers, Faizon, Helmar, and Anikit were very nice, polite and patient. My aunt said Chef Dom was on point and that her chicken was perfectly seasoned and cooked. We also enjoyed the breakfast buffet on Sunday. I'm surprised that more people don't take advantage of this venue/restaurant with its wonderful lake view and stellar service.“

“I had the pork belly tacos, they were incredible. Finely chopped into small cubes, some had a meaty rich texture and some were perfectly crunchy. The bacon jam added a smoky BBQ flavor and a moistness bringing it all together.

Wife had the green chili Mac and Cheese with added crispy chicken. It was creamy and flavorful. Without the chicken it might have been disappointing due to the seemingly low amount of sausage, but with it the protein and crispy bits were perfectly balanced.

Kid had chicken tenders and to our surprise, they were hand breaded. A bit steep at $10, but made up for in quality.

The service was great once we got in, may drink refills, food in quick time, nice server. However, it seems they pull the host to help tidy up the front of the house and we stood for several minutes waiting for anyone to come to the host stand. Not a deal breaker, but you might be awkwardly standing for a few minutes.“

Staff were friendly and welcoming, the decor is elegant, the semi-outdoor seating was pleasantly breezy on a hot day (I could do without the huge TVs, but that's me). I simply wanted to get a quick drink with an old friend and we chose Carve purely because of its location. We arrived during their happy hour (which starts at 3:00). We ordered a couple of tasty cocktails and an order of the cheesy cauliflower sticks -- delicious! The happy hour prices certainly made me happy, and the charming waiter checked back in at sensible intervals and remained good humored and attentive even when it must have become obvious that we were not going to be ordering more. I noticed that the menu includes some attractive vegetarian/vegan options and will bear Carve in mind for family celebration meals where there are carnivores as well as vegetarians to feed. My only complaint, if you can call it that, is that they failed to include the tip I thought I'd added to the credit card slip and I realized when I checked my account that I hadn't left a tip at all -- apologies if that was my fault!!“

“My wife and I had a wonderful lunch experience here on a relaxing Friday afternoon. The burgers were fantastic, the potato salad and tomato soup excellent, and the iced tea refreshing. They have really nice outside seating that is shaded, coupled with a very nice indoor space. If you are in River Place or nearby, this place is a great lunch option. Their prices cannot be beat, and the lady who took our order and made our food was very helpful and kind.“
