“I went here to celebrate Mother's Day and the overall experience was good but it was a pretty average buffet. A buffet that was way over priced. On top of that there was a hefty service charge with an added line asking for additional tip. Given that this restaurant is attached to a hotel is maybe why there was an additional "service chg" but I was a bit shocked when I received the bill. The bill was $300.10 for just 3 of us. (3 buffets & 2 mimosas). Service was fair, meaning that the wait staff refilled my coffee and water. It's my fault for not being prepared with knowing what this was going to cost me in the end.“

“Yesterday, Veteran’s Day, my son, also a Veteran, and my daughter along with some other wonderful friends enjoyed the generosity of Jack Allen’s Kitchen for lunch. I’m somewhat overcome by this great restaurant in reaching out to the vets! I’m 94, still walking around and most appreciative of good food. A fervent thank you to the owner, management and staff for this amazing recognition.“

“Best chicken sandwich around, bar staff is .... Less than cordial and must pour drinks with a micrometer and a nuclear scale. You're charging me $8 for a 1oz pour from a $22 bottle of bullet (at retail!) and $3 more for a double, you REALLY only pour EXACTLY 2oz ??? You recoup your food costs on the second guy from that bottle, leaving you with 23 more singles. Then to add a $2 upcharge for ice??? Really?? A tiny bit of generosity at the bar side would make all the difference, and I wouldn't be all salty about going back. Eventually you run out of people that are going to help you make that $126 a bottle....“

“This place is a definite must try. The service was superb! The food was cooked to order and tasted great. The Pulled Pork Queso is an excellent way to get your meal started. The Shrimp Tacos were good too. They are located just steps from plenty of parking. They also have a pet friendly patio area!“

“Found this great spot in Lakeway Texas by luck. I had a Southern Burger and a Steak Wedge salad. The waitress then told me that first time visitors get a sample of their chocolate cake. It was perfect! Waitress told me all about the history of the establishment and why they call it the League (I won’t ruin it for you). Good food, good people… give them a try.“

“Lovely ambience and decor. We sat at the bar and had excellent service. Staff was attentive and friendly. The peach salad was delicious- dressing on the side as I find that salads are often overdressed. Halibut was flaky and cooked perfectly. Hubby had the steak rare+ and said it was also just right. Plate will definitely be in our regular rotation!“

“Wonderful in every way- service, food, wine, cocktails, ambience. My husband especially loved his French onion soup and crab Mac and cheese- big chunks of crab. Table next to us enjoyed their crab Mac & cheese as well. The chef graciously came out to discuss a vegan entree for me and it was both beautifully presented and delicious! Thank you!!!“

“We have been treated exceptionally well every time we have been here. They know your name (associated with The Hills POA) and the service is very good. Burgers are beyond great and the setting is very nice - especially the patio. However, It is *pricey* though for what it is. There are a lot of other choices in Lakeway - don't overcharge just because you are the captive Country Club restaurant. For this it gets 4 stars, not 5.“

“This is such a unique lakeside establishment. It's one of my favorite destinations in Austin. The food is pretty good but some dishes leave room for improvement. The flavor is there but lacks in presentation and limited ingredients. The atmosphere and service are top notch. This is definitely a whole in the wall neighborhood Vibing place but the patrons are exteremly welcoming, making you feel like you are a regular. Great family and pet friendly place to watch the sunset over the lake or throw a company party.

Kid-friendliness: Kids seem to always be welcome and loved by all. Lots of room for them to explore.

“My wife and I had a wonderful lunch experience here on a relaxing Friday afternoon. The burgers were fantastic, the potato salad and tomato soup excellent, and the iced tea refreshing. They have really nice outside seating that is shaded, coupled with a very nice indoor space. If you are in River Place or nearby, this place is a great lunch option. Their prices cannot be beat, and the lady who took our order and made our food was very helpful and kind.“

“My family started eating at Rosie’s in 1974 when they moved to lake Travis from Houston. Her recipes are the best Mexican food in Austin! The salsa is garlicky and always fresh, the chalupas compuestas are fabulous are unique to Rosie’s. I always get them when it’s hot! She serves pickles with them and it tastes so good!!! You don’t need to drink alcohol here because the food is the star of the meal as is the iced tea! And those pralines!!!! Cinnamon and tons of fresh pecans. Please don’t ever leave, Vincent!“

This location has all the best servers they just need a better menu add a little more variety and portions for the price and this would be a defiant 5 star but as now I give it 4 stars.“

“Very beautiful view, parking is far away and it fills up quickly, at least when I went on a holiday (the next Thanksgiving day), beautiful spaces to take souvenir photos. It took them a long time to serve us, the girl was very busy. A little pricey, but I think the views make up for it. There were 4 of us and they included the tip, the truth is we didn't pay attention and left it aside. I did like the food although there isn't that much variety. The bathrooms a little dirty.“
