“My husband and I wanted I've cream and he said " let's go to the place by the house." That place was an ice cream chain and I wanted something new to try So, I Googled "Ice Cream near me" and Black + White was the 1st on the list This small, but quaint, shop is a GEM!! Vince, the owner, was amazing and kind to us. His passion for his business shows simply by the way he speaks about his journey and how / why they have the ice cream flavors they have. Best Ice Cream we have tried in years....... he makes the waffle comes fresh and they taste amazing. Ice Creams are packed with flavor. A must try. You won't be disappointed“

staff is friendly and service is easy and fast.
it’s a very small ice cream parlor but good place to take picture outside the door. Also, it’s more like grab and go place.
free parking in hemisfair is always tough to get. They have few free street parking in front of commonwealth restaurant. But at the side of commonwealth restaurant there’s a paid parking and don’t charge much.
NOTE: I didn’t see a washroom there.“

“Being an ice cream lover, my wife and I had to check out this cool little ice cream shop! Lick Honest Ice Creams definitely isn’t your average place. The flavors are wild — like Roasted Beet & Mint or Goat Cheese with Honey and Thyme. You can tell they put a lot of thought into it and use high-quality, local ingredients.
That said… this place probably isn’t for everyone. If you’re someone who just wants a classic vanilla or chocolate chip, this might not hit the spot. The flavors are creative, but some are a little too out there for my taste.
Staff was really friendly, vibe was chill, and the ice cream was super creamy. I’d say go if you’re in the mood to try something new — but maybe sample first if you’re picky!“

“Strawberry shortcake was excellent. Customer service not so great as workers were gossiping as I walked in, was not greeted and essentially waited for them to be done to get my order. Two of the workers were actually working while a third girl was standing doing nothing and talking to the other workers. I was also the only customer in the store at the time. Overall great cake not so great service.“

“Tonight my husband and I checked out this place and it did not disappoint! By far the creamiest and flavorful ice cream I’ve had yet! But truly what sold me is the hospitality - so friendly and welcoming!! It made the experience even better! We will be regulars! 😋“

“Get an ice cream waffle cone they are huge!!! And just for 4.00
I was going to take a pic but this Asian reefer smoking older lady asked me for 2.00. Since it was 9pm and didn’t want to dig in my purse in the dark or have her be upset I offered her a palleta or an ice cream cone and of course she took my ice cream cone so didn’t get to taste it but going back to get another one to try. Just go earlier in the day before it gets dark - it’s safer if you can go before 7pm. Area is a little sketchy.“

“We were in town for a teacher’s conference. we stumbled on this magical shop the 2nd night of our trip. We visited the next 3 nights! the ice cream was fantastic and the staff was even better! Dameon was our favorite! They even showed us where their shop was in our home state! We will be visiting that location over Christmas Break!“

“1st time here and it reminds me of being a kid at my grandmas house going to the raspa man on the south side. 10/10 would go again! Would definitely get a small next time though ? on the left is the gorilla and right is a medium! I really enjoyed the set up and atmosphere they’ve created!“

Unfortunately inside the little place was smoky, guessing from the fryer or something, so we went outside in the blazing sun, wasn’t that bad. They just need to fix the picnic tables, one of them is falling apart, the bench was all rotten, almost fell but I caught myself.
I definitely go again, but will take my things to go.“

“This is a cute little gem near downtown. It is my kids new favorite spot when they want a treat after school. We’ve only had ice cream cones and snow cones, but I look forward to trying more items on the menu. Owners are super nice, friendly I and helpful. I would recommend this place to anyone. “I love this store ! I go here everytime we have a party to get shaved ice for the kiddos! It’s the perfect addition that everyone appreciates. Super inexpensive! They have the raspa syrup and the pump for it, cups, candies, pickles to add and make picadellis! The owner is So sweet ! Stayed a little later after closing while I was driving looking for the shop. Deff recommend!! Summer fun !!“
