“Had the pleasure of going there with my son and Linda and Lisa were soooo nice. They let us try the custard Ice cream Mango, Strawberry and Rasberry Pistachio were to die for!! Great service!! Highly recommended!! I’m from FL and 2 hours away from were we were staying and it was worth the drive and Lisa even gave me ideas to visit in Gavelston while we visited Texas. Will return soon. “Omg my son’s boss told him about Kelley’s and we had never ate there. We had just got off our 9-day cruise & wanted some serious comfort food. Kelley’s definitely fit the bill. Homemade hand-battered chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes/gravy, fried okra, salad & fresh rolls! All servings were HUGE and delicious 😋 all for $16. I ate off of my lunch 3 times! We will def be back. Amanda was our server & she was on top of everything & great service. We were only disappointed that they were out of the Texas size homemade biscuits from the breakfast run. If you’ve never ate there before u gotta try it and u will be back.“

Chef Joe Cervantez culinary skills result in delicious food from appetizers, entree to desserts! Our waiter was extraordinary and was so kind and polite. The restaurant sits on Galveston Bay; hence the atmosphere is fun and lively along with a beautiful view.“

“Went for the first time on Sunday. Upon entering, we approached the check in/ cashier desk. Wait staff were walking back & forth as we stood & no one said a word. No greeting, not we will be right with you. Not a word! One young lady ( Wish I would have gotten her name) she was sitting right there, preparing serving utensils. She did not say a word as we stood there. I've never felt so uncomfortable, unwelcome, & disregarded! Never! Finally, another wait staff that was helping over at the check out computer, walked over & asked the young lady who was sitting there to assist us! Still, not a word to us! The young lady stood up & with the worse attitude, she asked did we want to sit inside or outside. While I was asking my husband his preference, she rolled her eyes & and rudely asked , " Inside or out!? Again, I wish I had asked her name, but she appeared to be the youngest. Between being disregarded as we walked in & stood, and her attitude, I told my husband I was uncomfortable & wanted to leave! He pushed back & said let's give it a chance beyond this! So we stayed & were seated outside as we preferred. Then comes our waitress! What a pleasant surprise & she turned our experience around! We learned that she had not been there but 3 days or 3 weeks. ( I forget) her name is Amanda & she is pregnant. She's such a pleasant & nice person! We felt badly for sitting outside, because she worked so diligently. It was quite a walk in the heat, because we chose to sit outside on the pier that was a bit of a walk. Again, she was so pleasant & professional! The drinks & food are superb! From the oyster 🦪 appetizers, to the platters! Delicious! Some of the best seafood & side orders, ever! Truly! Drinks are flavorful, delicious, and they aren't stingy or scarce with the liquor. 😆 I would absolutely visit again, but truly afraid of the treatment, unless it's Amanda again“

“I frequently visit the vineyard when in the area, as my mother-in-law is a wine club member here. I've always had an enjoyable experience at this establishment. Today, we celebrated my mother-in-law's retirement from her career, as a teacher. The two bartenders were exceptionally friendly and provided excellent guidance as we selected wines. We thoroughly appreciated the welcoming atmosphere and outstanding customer service. ♡“

“I was pleasantly surprised with Soulfreak! Would definitely recommend visiting for coffee and with the kids. It's conveniently located in the park, the play area is just out side and you can even monitor your kids if your inside because of the big windows.

Lots of outdoor seating, too and all shaded by the huge oak trees. Overall, just a really relaxing atmosphere. I'm a remote worker, and always looking for the new, best coffee shop. Can't wait to go back again!“

“They Berry Tea Room is a wonderful place for an intimate lunch or just a tea break. We were a group of eight women and the room we were in was very snug with that many people seated there. But it was quiet and we were able to talk. The service was very good. It was a pretty good size menu. I had what was called the peacemaker which was a sandwich that had half and half on it. I had a choice of three and I chose egg salad and chicken salad. The other choice was tunafish salad. There was also a selection of bread to choose from and it was between a croissant and rye bread. I chose the rye bread which I enjoyed a lot. We started with a cup of soup, and the entrée came out with veggie strips, like potato chips, only in straw shape and we got a nice little scoop of cherry and chocolate chip ice cream for dessert. It was all included in the price. Being a tea room I had to order hot tea, and a variety was brought out for me to choose from. It was served with a beautiful teacup and teapot so it was just like having a tea party. Prices were very reasonable and the service fantastic. I would return to this restaurant in the future.“

But, it drew a decent crowd of bikers during the rally for being several miles away from the main action.We wanted to ride a little away from the masses, so it filled the bill. Kudos to their parking attendants, they really controlled the lot.There was no food served by Woodys, but there was a food truck there. I think they should've offered a few portapotties the mens room was often overwhelmed. I heard many of the ladies comment upon seeing the long line of men waiting for the restroom. “This place is a hidden gem. Literally. It's behind a chicken restaurant and surrounded by gorgeous trees. The vibe is SUPER laid back, and you can tell this is a local favorite. They are an extension of the restaurant, so they serve the same food.The bartender was also extremely friendly, and made some awesome drinks. I called and the girl who answers, I asked to pick up the beans and chips tomorrow. Instead of taking care of these small little details she started telling me what I did wrong, I hung up. Do better business with your loyal customers. If it was me I wouldn’t mind but my kid literally has to have it this way to even enjoy his food.“
