“This was our first time at Baldy’s La Vernia and we will be back. Sherry, our waitress, made it an excellent visit. She was kind, friendly and helpful. Food was excellent! I had the special, flat iron steak, salad, baked potato and chocolate cake, it was fantastic-a juicy, tender steak!“

“It is an extremely comfortable place. It kind of looks like something you would not want to go into but that would be a mistake because the food is very good. Since it is small it can get packed very quickly.

“Old restaurant that's been a staple in this small town. Food is great, service was great and pricing are reasonable. Wife had chicken fried steak and I had their cheeseburger. Their fries are cooked golden brown to perfection. Fried okra is another great side.“

“They never disappoint. The food is spot on the waitresses are all friendly and always checking on you. Even the owners come out and check on the customers. Definitely recommend if you are driving thru La Vernia or live in the area. O yeah portions are big.“

“We just moved here to st hedwig and I found this local restaurant, I wanted to try their breakfast after reading the positive reviews and they did not disappoint. We stopped quickly to get 4 bacon egg and bean tacos to go, my husband who is really picky loved them and so did I. The tacos were so delicious along with the beans, the tortilla was very soft. I definitely want to come here again to dine in ?

The venue is perfect, beautiful, and the staff and owner are exceptionally kind and thoughtful!
