Hole-in-the-wall place on Hwy. 87, the main street of La Vernia. Fresh bread and ingredients. My friend had a chicken salad sandwich "Cockadoodledo" on the menu) with crispy home fries. I had bacon, egg and avocado on a very tender croissant, and onion rings with a tangy sauce. Everything was delicious. Service was attentive although they are shorthanded, as all cafes are these days. Small dining area but they also do takeout. I will be back when I'm out that way again.
I was in town for my kid's track meet, decided to wander off for a meal. I got there a few minutes after 6, thinking it closed at 7. The place is unassuming with a little outdoor patio with some tables. The guy at window (for outdoor service) was really friendly but said they were closing. Then he said they'd serve me anyway. The wings were very big and juicy and thick. Can’t wait to get some more of their chicken in my mouth. I recommend the golden bear sauce. Bussin is an understatement when it comes to wing dogs.Wheelchair accessibility: You can easily roll up in a wheel chair and smash some wings.
