“The best old school Kool aid in the entire metroplex. The fish is some of the best also. There is space to dine in but this is a no frills place. The food is the draw here. I recommend calling in for pick-up which I noticed is what most do. There is a constant flow of customers which also means there is a constant flow of fresh cooked food.
It's good so check them out. Oh yeah, they have a huge selections of cakes.“

“I always end up disappointed with the usual commercialized pizza places. Rona's ingredients and taste are just what I expect and desire when I want a Good Pizza .“

“So far they have the best, most flavorful and tender beef fajitas that you can get from any local Mexican restaurant! They’re well seasoned and not lacking on portion size!
My only critique is that some of the food is a tad too salty and the chicken bouillon flavor in the rice is very strong and a little off putting. But hey, different strokes for different folks. Aside from that, everything I’ve tried so far is great!“

“Today 5/30/26 we encountered the rudest group of individuals dining during lunch. They were being 100% disrespectful to the employee running the front area. I wish I had gotten her name but she handled the situation with complete grace. To those individuals, you should be ashamed for bringing your no home training to a public place.“

“I was in town for a funeral, & a few hours later I wanted to grab some Caribbean food. I found Taste of Jamaica on Google & since it was 6 minutes from me, decided to try it.
First, as most Jamaican or Caribbean cuisine, it was a bit pricey. When I picked up the containers, they felt very heavy. When I opened them, I saw why. They PILE food into the containers. You get plenty of food to have enough leftovers to eat two more times.
I ordered the chicken pasta (very tasty, but don’t recommend if you’re lactose intolerant as it’s made with cheese), with a side of steamed cabbage & plantains, & the jerked chicken plate with rice & peas & steamed cabbage. The jerked chicken was spicy & tasty, according to my daughter. Neither of us could finish the food, it was just too much. It was definitely $50 worth of food.
The place is small, definitely more of an order your food & takeout type of spot. There’s a little space with a pool table & they also sell alcohol.
If I’m ever in the Dallas/Desoto area, I would definitely revisit.“

“I was there yesterday and got a Cheesesteak Hoagie (that's what we call them in Philly)... it was amazing and so was the service! It wasn't my first time there, but it was the best and it won't be my last! It was the best cheesesteak I've had anywhere outside of the Philly area... 5 STARS!!!“
