“We were in town for the MS 150 and decided we really needed some home made pie after our dinner. We stumbled upon this spot. It was packed but luckily we were able to get a table. Overall, we really enjoyed the pies we tried, the service, and our hostess was really sweet. We tried rhubarb, apple, peach and chocolate.
We tried a few different pies. Portions are large so next time if we’re in town, we’ll order a lot less. 2 people can easily share one slice.”

“Outlaws BBQ delivered enough brisket, potato salad and beans to feed 30 people at our family reunion in Winchester yesterday. VERY tasty BBQ! They were very generous w/the pickles, onions and sauce, too. Everyone complimented the food but what we appreciated most was the excellent service. Absolutely 5 stars all the way! “I love the Mill St cafe in Round Top! The coffee is the best and the scones are perfection! The royal cookie and gluten free chocolate oatmeal cookie is the best I have ever eaten anywhere (and I am not gluten free)! The girls that work there are so sweet and friendly even when the show has it packed! This place is such a bonus to the community.”

“I used to come here regularly when my partner and I lived closer to Giddings - I don't go as often now sadly, but it's still a favorite! The staff are friendly and provide great service. I personally recommend the enchiladas and the fried avocado with shrimp.”

“We wanted to check out the place with the new owners and the food was amazing!! The cheese sticks were enormous and exquisite (according to my daughter). I got the salmon, sweet potatoes fries, asparagus, & green beans. I’m allergic to dairy and they were able to accommodate me without skimping on the taste. My salmon was cooked perfect (I like it medium). My husband had the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes, green beans, and a big piece of cornbread. Everything was cooked well & tasted great. My daughter also got the tomato soup and liked the taste but she personally didn’t care for the creaminess of it. We can’t wait to come again soon!! We sat in the Cowboy Lounge with the AC!”

“Visiting from CA, we tried a few bbq spots in Austin, Houston, Sealy, Katy, and Giddings. Out of the 5 places we tried, Lost Pines was our favorite. We met the grandson of the original owner who runs the place, the staff was incredibly friendly.”

“We stopped by Saturdy evening around 5:30 and Lost Pines still had plenty of BBQ. I had the 2 meat plate with the Briskett, Mac & Cheese and green beans. I really liked that I was given a choice between the lean briskett or marbled. Lots of flavor, good bbq sauce and plenty of seating. Not a restaurant in the traditional sense. It's a walk up counter, with food in a glass case. You order and carry food back to your table. Friendly service. I definately recommed.”

“This place is the bees knees. My wife, daughter and I stayed here for two nights after dropping our son off at Camp Lone Star in La Grange. We decided to post up at The Vintage Hideaway instead of driving all the way back home then making the trip again less than 48 hours later and MAN are were we quite pleased with that decision. Coming in early June, we basically had the entire property to ourselves. We stayed in house #2 "Yellow Rose" and this "tiny home" was a real treat. The room is surprisingly spacious, with great air conditioning to take cover from a warm Texas Summer with updated amenities including a sink, microwave, fridge and freezer that allowed us to bring some of our own snacks/food while still being able to enjoy the local eateries for dinner time on both nights. We are a super active family, so it was really nice to get outside and walk around multiple times during our stay with our daughter to enjoy the sunsets, the wooded areas and even some wild rabbits and deer! I was telling my wife, but The Vintage Hideaway is such a great location to come to disconnect and just enjoy the Texas country side. We didn't spend much time watching television or using the 5G internet they had to offer but rather getting outdoors, exploring the quite, quaint town of Round Top and just enjoying nature. We'll definitely be back in the future. Thank you Eva and Bryan for accommodating us!”

“Stopped on the way home after a Saturday night Rangers game in Arlington. It was almost midnight and Whataburger was busy with a line at the drive-thru and full parking lot with a welcoming light. It was Saturday night after the dirt racetrack down the road had finished. Lots of conversations but not to loud. We had friendly service with a smile and the food tasted so good. Biscuits with sausage gravy for me with fresh brewed decaf and two sausage egg and cheese taquitos for my man. Great stop for our trip.”
