“We finally got fed up with the Olive Garden close to our house (horrible customer service and always out of products) and decided to visit this one. This is now our go to Olive Garden, our waiter was amazing he was on it and the place was so clean and all of the staff were friendly.“

“Purple Garlic is our hands down favorite Italian restaurant! Coming here is like "Cheers" where when you walk in, "Everyone knows your name" and make you feel right at home. Chris, the manager, is so accommodating and keeps things running smoothly. This restaurant doesn't have an overly extensive menu, but what they have is prepared wonderfully. No matter what we have ordered, it always tastes great! Also, they make one of the best pizzas in San Antonio. Come here and you won't be disappointed!“

“We had the pleasure of dinning there last night for the 1st time. The menu is a bit overwhelming at first but makes sense the more you look at it. The person who I assumed was the owner was very friendly. They make some great New York style pizza, I will definitely be returning.“

“I walked in to pick up my carry out. I was promptly greeted with a friendly hello. I got the pappardelle bolognese, my husband got the fettuccine Della casa both small, and split the arancini. Everything was delicious. The pasta was cooked perfectly. The sauce had great flavor. My husband thought the flavors married well and liked the crispiness of the pancetta. We both liked the Arancini. It was crispy the outside and a good cheesy texture on the inside. My only little complaint is that the size of the small was a little too small, but we are both big eaters. I highly recommend this restaurant“

“I drove 47 miles to try this place after seeing it on Facebook. These pictures do NOT do it justice. We were greeted the moment we walked in and were able to pick table. The atmosphere was welcoming and there is a full bar. I bet Friday nights here are something else. The hot wings are PERFECT. We ordered the spicy lemon pepper. They were juicy, cooked to perfection and the flavor is hard to beat. If you are a wing fan, do yourself a favor and grab a beer and a dozen. The waitress recommended the Maxed Out pizza, which was all meat and we added jalapeños. Now look here, this pizza ain’t no big bread tons of tomato sauce pizza . Toppings are definitely king here. They all come together creating this semi Smokey medley of flavor resting on a perfectly cooked bed of pizza dough. At first I was taking the usual bite but do yourself a favor and fold it in half and take it to the head. Like it cheesy? Go ahead and order that flat bread then prepare yourself for that marinara sauce..you’ll thank me later. The place is clean, restrooms are clean, service is great and the atmosphere is easy going. Five stars across the board. I will be back and I am definitely letting everyone know.“

“Try the Italian food here. We had the chicken piccata and wife had the lasagna. Friends had the two specials, see pics. The service was fast, a good atmosphere with some great Italian music by Frank and Dino and the food was delicious and served hot. We loved it all!“

“A quaint Pizza joint that makes tasty pizza! The crust is cooked perfectly and compliments the sauce and toppings. I had the supreme sans olives and my wife had a Canadian bacon with pineapple. Apparently they do make margarita pizza, but wasn't listed in the store. I saw it online.Note that there's no public restrooms, but there's a gas station right next door if the need arises.It wasn't crowded so there were plenty of seats available inside. However we wanted to enjoy the weather that day.Totally recommend!“

“Highly recommend this spot. We ordered breadsticks as our appetizer. My husband ordered the 10 inch pothole pizza, and I got the calzone with mushrooms and artichokes. Everything was awesome. “Been checking this place out for a few weeks. I went in tonight cause I left my dinner at home on the counter, and they just gave me a pizza that another customer called paid for and then decided they didnt want it. So I took it, never had their pizza before, its pretty dang good. Im not even a fan of NY style pizza, im from Buffalo, so Neapolitan is my preferred. Guys at work who i shared it with liked it as well. Would and do reccomend“

“Total gem of a place! Service was wonderful. Rigatoni la Sorrento was to die for and I usually won't order pasta at a restaurant. Veal picatta cooked perfect and the sauce was very well done. The pizzas looked great, will have to go back to try them next!“

“It was our first time and the service and food were outstanding! I loved the open kitchen and watching the food being prepared. The lighting was great and it was very clean. “Overall a good meal and the food seems the same as the other location. I started with the house salad minus feta which is still one of the best salads I've ever tasted. It is pricy but delicious. Then we split the chicken wings which are a nice size. At our servers suggestion, we mixed the lemon pepper with buffalo for the sauce which was salty but excellent, perfect heat level for me. Next we split the tuna ceviche which was just ok for me, not enough pico on it. I wouldn't order again as it was bland imo. Looking forward to coming back to this location, much less crowded than the other location and food is just as good.“

I’m not sure about overseas because I haven’t been to a Sbarro in any other country. Here’s what you need to do (trust me) - book a morning flight to San Antonio, head the the Sbarro in the B terminal, say hello to Alexis, and order a pepperoni pizza with gravy. Sounds crazy, right? “This is a shout out to Martha who provided exceptional service for our catering order! We had this location cater my baby shower last weekend, and the entire experience was fantastic from the day we ordered in person and Martha helped us to the day of delivery when she was also the one to deliver. I greatly appreciated her punctuality and friendly attitude on what was a chaotic morning. The food was excellent, but the service from her is what truly made it a completely enjoyable experience. “OK I waited until my third time here to post a review. This is HANDS DOWN the BEST pizza I have had in my 30 years on this earth. (The Pizza Piccante is literally heaven). We have also gotten a few different pasta, dishes, and last night ordered a 16 ounce ribeye TO GO, and let me tell you they know what they’re doing! The place is so cute too. “Just went recently. Only regret is I only got to go once before leaving San Antonio. Food was wonderful, pizza had crunchy crust and a lot of flavor. Portions were very generous and the service was friendly. Cherry on top was my kids loved the food too. Definitely recommend this place.“
