On the day of the event, he and his staff were kind, professional, while going above and beyond to take care of every detail. And the food? Hands down the BEST BBQ we and our guests have ever had ANYWHERE in East Texas. The brisket was melt-in-your-mouth, the ribs were perfectly smoked, and the sides and sauce are just as amazing. People are still talking about how incredible everything was! If you want flawless service and unforgettable BBQ, Jeremy and his team at Box Car are in a league of their own.“

“I came in 15 minutes before close on a Monday night, on the way through town. Very glad I stopped! I got brisket tacos, and they were hot and fresh. The meat is tender and delicious, and the salsa is great. If you like heat, definitely get the red sauce. Prices were budget friendly. Both employees (owners?) were very kind and friendly. We'll be stopping back on our next trip through.“

It's weighed to give you the same satisfaction each time, so that you definitely get your money's worth. It has the perfect balance of meat & fat( lean & moist) and it's salted to perfection.The meat is the star at Wades, but it's just a reflection of Wade himself ✨“

“My complaint is that I couldn’t find anywhere to review bodacious on the Google website. Lol I bought a bottle of their barbecue sauce over the weekend and it is the best barbecue sauce ever. Their barbecue is fantastic, but the sauce is amazing. I will be buying more sauce.“

“I ordered a 12 oz. New York Strip tonight on New Year's Eve. I ordered it medium, when it came out I asked for it to be cooked a tiny bit more. When they brought it out again, she asked me to cut into it. I tried but the entire steak was hard to cut and beyond even being well done. I didn't eat it. I ate mashed potatoes and the salad, that's all. I was really looking forward to a good steak tonight. 😒“

“This is such an underrated spot in Lufkin. They don't sell just baked potatoes, but they are definitely the star of the show. You can either get a giant, which is 4 potatoes I believe, or a mini, which is 2 potatoes. So yes, be prepared for big portions. There's also lots of combos and TONS of toppings for the potatoes. I got the giant #2 (cheese, sour cream, chives and bacon bits), and the mini #24 (cheese, buffalo chicken and a side of ranch). All potatoes come with butter and everything tasted so good and fresh too. It all filled me up great. Prices are reasonable, and the combination possibilities for the potatoes are endless. Definitely worth the money, would 100% come again!“
