“A must place! Mark and Lisa are the owners. I was asking Lisa about the homemade salsa so what does she do??? She goes in her food truck and prepared fresh homemade chips and a big cup of salsa. She also gave me 2 containers of guacamole. I'm not crazy about guacamole but my wife tells me I need to try it. It was delicious. The salsa had very good seasonings and flavors and the homemade chips were the best I've ever had. I will be back for sure.“
“Possibly one of the best breakfast burrito and chorizo omelettes we've ever had. Oh my gosh!! It was hot throughout each bite which shows you how fresh it was cooked. It is a ways away from Dallas but whenever we are there, it's a must!! Staff was very helpful and attentive! Great service! It is your normal taqueria vibes and you feel right at home!“
“It’s a great little store, just stuck in between towns, on a highway, wish they had gas, but they have the best burgers around, plus it’s convenient to be able to call in an order and go pick up, prices are a little high; but the cost of living goes up dailyKid-friendliness: My 9 year old is learning money management I guess you could say, so he loves ordering his own food and being able to walk in and get it himself with his allowance, they are never rude and help him with his purchases“
“Good food; I had the lunch special for $9.99, 3 enchiladas. 1 ground beef, 1 chicken, I cheese with appropriate sauces. Margaritas were a little weak, although they were only $4 each. I got an extra shot to add to it. Service was good, although the server seemed a little rushed, even though we were the only other table in there. We will be back; it's really close to the house.“
“If you want Tex-Mex, go to Jalepeno Tree. If you want authentic Mexican food, go to Mexico; BUT if you want a good mix of authentic and Tex-Mex food along with great service, great people and wonderful owners who are very humble …COME HERE NOW!Very down-to-earth family oriented business with great food and great service.I don’t normally like mole, but their mole is about as authentic as it gets and it’s great! Try their brisket tacos, or their flautas, or their sopas. Heck, TRY it all. I guarantee you that you’ll like 90% of it.ALSO, come have a drink and watch all your sporting events in their bar area. Plenty of screens.“
“We ate in my husband had the Burritos plate, he said it was really good and really liked the hot sauce with the chips. I had a hard taco and the large Nachos. The taco was stuffed with meat lettuce and cheese, I mean stuffed and the Nachos were loaded, even had queso and beef on the first layer. I added my jalapeños, so good. Lots of food!“
“Order a soft taco and got a hard taco and then had to pay extra cause they messed up on top of that gave me my food and when I said this is suppose to be soft they took it back, if I not mistaken once u give a customer there order and it's messed up ur not suppose to take it back and sit it on the counter suppose go in the trash or customer keeps it..“
“Came down to San Antonio from Austin for the weekend and stopped by this food truck for lunch! Me and my friends got the vegetarian tacos and the chicken tacos. They were nice and flavorful- especially with the green salsa! The service was good and it was around a 10 minute wait for the tacos. They raised the prices since the last time I came but they are still cheaper than a lot of places in Austin!“
“Best spot for a breakfast burrito! Even with a long line of cars, they’re quick. The breakfast burritos are amazing. I usually get that bacon or chicken and it is a good mix of egg, potatoes (these are so good, so soft and buttery) and protein. The salsa that comes with it is also great, which I could get a bottle. It is my Saturday ritual.“
“The people are amazing, very helpful, and kind. If you want to know about the food….IT’S DELICIOUS!!! We got the tacos al pastor and the meat was perfectly seasoned and juicy, and the salsa was *chefs kiss*??? ? I wish we had something as good as this in Fort Worth ?“
“Was such a nice place. Staff was friendly, prompt and service was good. Food was amazing. Guacamole salad was incredible, definitely recommend. Salsa is spicy and on point, chips fresh and hot. Price is as expected $12 - $15 per plate. Lots of specials.“
“First time visit. Family owned restaurant. Food was wonderful and service. This little hidden gem is truly better than your big box restaurants in the area.If in the area in Maybank, Gun Barrel and looking for Mexican this is the place to go.“
“My go to for Mexican food. I have a family of 5. We hardly ever go out to eat. So I'll call ahead 2 fajitas for 2. It's always ready in less than 15 minutes and at such a reasonable price. This comes with so much food that we have fajita soup the next day for dinner! & my kids will eat the queso with a spoon, they love it!“
“Nice Cafe to enjoy a good meal. Large menu with a lot of choices. I have not had anything wrong with any meals that I have had here. Staff is very attentive and friendly. They definitely do a good job decorating the place for the different holidays for one's pleasure.“
“I like to go with friends to this restaurant with my highest recommendations. I go to this restaurant often. I get very good feedback from my friends. The the cooking is appetizing and the team is welcoming and cooperative. Whenever we eat in this place we enjoy a cheerful time. highly recommended.“
“The service was great. Our waitress was really nice and attentive. She answered questions about my verde sauce question and even brought me the two different types to try. Their homemade verde sauce is wonderful! The food was really good except for one small thing. The queso on the chimichanga was not to my liking as I seen on other reviews. They could use new queso. But the chimichanga, rice, beans, hot sauce, verde sauce was all delicious! The price was reasonable. El Jacalito will see me and my Son again!“
“I drove thru for lunch on a Friday, and didn't have to wait in line. Ordered a 2 burrito lunch, with beans as the protein. The meal was very fresh, hot, and tasty. Their red and green salsas added extra flavor. I'd go back again for a good and quick lunch at a fair price.“
“My wife and I have eaten here several times. They have a good menu selection and they will allow you to order off the menu if you have something you are craving .The food has more of an authentic Mexican flavor than Tex Mex.Definitely worth a try if you are in town.“
“Been awhile since we have been here. Food and service were great! Brought my in-laws since it was mom in Inlaw birthday and they enjoyed. I must recommend, when someone orders spinach enchiladas bring them a knife. A fork is really hard for them with all spinach. They are great & tasty ?Parking: More handicap needed“
“Kocoroko Munchies is a lovely snack shop that offers a warm and cozy atmosphere, filled with a wide variety of delicious goodies. Every time I visit, the shop owner and her family greet me with a warm and friendly welcome, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. I have tried many items from their vast selection, and I am yet to be disappointed with any of my choices. If I could give this place a 10-star rating, I would in a heartbeat!“
