“First time visiting Texas and first staying at an Inn.This was a great experience! The Woodbine Inn and Restaurant was Quiet, cozy, beautiful decor, extremely friendly staff. Owner was most accommodating and very pleasant. The food at the restaurant was fantastic, steak cooked just as ordered, flavorful and tender, whiskey carrots were a delight, mashed potatoes were warm and creamy and just right consistency, then the desert was absolutely amazing!! Best crème brûlée we have we have ever had.“

The food was amazing, their setup added those extra special touches, and the staff was some of the friendliest around. “Do not pass up this gem in the heart of Madisonville. Located across from the courthouse, the food was outstanding!! The grilled porkchops and ribeye were perfect. Sides of grilled asparagus, sweet potato, fried mushrooms and okra rounded out our meal. We stopped on our way home to Marshall, Texas from a conference in Boerne. So glad we did! Our waitress Brandi was attentive and friendly. No frills here - just good folks, good food and good country music in the background!! Hats off to the owner and chef - it was a most enjoyable afternoon. It's worth the stop!!“
