“Such a nice place! If you are driving through Hearne and looking for a place to stop, I highly recommend it. The service was great, the food delicious and a lot for your buck!
We loved the historical building and elements that were conserved from what was originally a post office? Anyway, for old school Texas charm, this is the place to go.“

“Dixie is a real gem. Excellent food, staff, prices are inexpensive, clean and full of people. People are black, white, brown and they're eating in Johnny Reb's Dixie Diner and knew it when they pulled up. Find it refreshing to see people mixed together enjoying themselves. It's a piece of Americana, the old days where people smile, eat hearty and laugh without being in front of a camera!“

“Waited 45 minutes for food and we were the only ones there. Wait staff and cook didn’t want to be there and it showed because we were hardly checked on and the food was sub par. Eggs and sausage was burnt and cold. Buscuit was pre made and served with cold gravy. Wouldn’t touch this place with a ten foot pole ever again“

“This is a comfortable place to just relax for a meal with friends or even alone. The staff are great at helping you meet any diet needs. Their breakfast tacos are big and delicious (plenty of chorizo in mine!). I like the varied menu, especially in a small town with fewer options.

Dietary restrictions: I'm doing a Keto program, so they've offered my breakfast tacos in a bowl instead of tortillas and don't get miffed when I ask to leave off rice & beans. I like that they don't act like I'm weird because it is doing amazing things for my health.

Parking: It's in a shopping center so plenty of room up front, plus more behind.“
