One of the best things about Deacon Baldy’s is the crowd it attracts. You can tell a lot about a place by its patrons, and here, it’s all super chill, friendly people. I never once felt out of place—everyone seemed approachable and easygoing. Families were enjoying the atmosphere, kids were running around, and the overall vibe was refreshingly relaxed.
It’s easy to see why this spot is a go-to for so many people. Deacon Baldy’s has created a welcoming space that’s perfect for anyone looking to kick back and enjoy some great food, drinks, and company. Tremendous job, y’all—I’ll definitely be back!“

“Jeff the manager trainee is awesome! His hostess, Zaye (Little Red) is amazing! They make us feel welcome and appreciated. We look forward to seeing them and chatting with them when we dine there. “Me and my family (about 10 people) went and had a great time. The only downside was we had to cram into a booth until we could get a table for a large group since there were already 2 large groups there. Besides that the food was great, the service was great, and we had a great time!“

“Been going for YEARS... loved it when Henry and Billy had it. Great time, met my husband there. I tell you guys this is a great place to go and relax, get your dance on and drink a few good drinks. Love the fact I can go in there and not come out smelling like an ash tray or even coughing like I still smoke. Thank you for opening this historic place back up . Lots of good times, LOTS of foggy times, lol and slot of great memories!!!!! Thank you for doing a great job of restoring Henry's.“

“I have really been looking forward to going to this restaurant but after reading December reviews it appears something happened during that month and I think I'll wait to see reviews from January before I decide. I love the ambiance of the place the fact that it's small and cozy and the menu appealed it to me but if the execution, service and availability is not there then what fronted out as an excellent experience leaves a bad taste on the end. I really hope to read that things have turned around since your last reviews. And do bear in mind that I know that people might complain for reasons that have nothing to do with the restaurant however that being said if they took the time to post it on the site I'm going to keep it in my mind until I read differently. Wishing you the best in 2022!“

“I am most happy to REPORT.. that CHILIS .. you really got it right. What a difference Jeffrey Saylor makes. Your employees worked together, Your Food was excellent, your staff was attentive, your restrooms were clean, your kitchen CLEAN.. your tables CLEANED as they should be. Your hostess was communicating with BUSER on what tables needed to be cleaned. It can be done.. and it showed tonight. I could not be more impressed. Jeffrey was checking on everyone.. even working side by side with his crew. It was TEAMWORK at its finest. If you tried the CHILIS in Tomball.. and had a just okay .. or a bad experience.. I encourage you to try again. The management matters. They have a manager that works with his TEAM.. not BOSS them. It shows.. way to go Chilis.. and most of all way to go Jeffrey.“

“I was in town for a wedding and decided to google a local bar. This was the first one that came up and I am so happy that I went! I walked in and the bartender, as well as the patrons, made us feel like home. If I ever find myself in magnolia again, I will be sure to return!“
