The prices here are reasonable and the service was good.I ordered the Korean beef bulgogi which tasted like nothing except for salt. The side salad I got was pretty good and I tried some of my friend's sushi burrito which was also good, but the salty bulgogi really killed it for me.
Let me start by saying that I only come to this place for 1 dish AND the first time I came a few years ago it was phenomenal. It seems EVERY time I have went back over the last few years the quality of the dish has went down tremendously. As someone who makes it at home (learned from Korean friends) it's a dish I love and I know what it should be. We have been coming to Umami for years and it feels like visiting family. Eddie and his wife and son are always so welcoming and wonderful. Their food is incredibly tasty and a fantastic value. All of the sushi is exceptional but the Tiger Eye Roll and Isaac #2 are stand out stars. Our kiddos highly recommend the fried rice and California Roll. Umami is consistently impressive and deserves to be a staple in the Magnolia community for many years to come.
