i've been coming to this place for about 20 years back when the whole chicken was $6. Over the years the price started getting higher and I decided to start going to a less expensive place pollo rico. I haven't been to el regio in a couple of years until pollo, rico told me it was gonna be 30 minutes before their chicken was ready. Unwillingly I drove to El regio & boy im glad I did. They must've got a new cook in the kitchen because this meal was the best i've ever had! the rice has a lot of flavor now, the beans are so smoky, that chicken was so moist and not dried out like it used to be.Oh, my god, it is worth the extra cost.I will never go back to pollo rico EVER again!“

“I ordered thru the app to pickup at the store. There was only one option and it was pickup, didn't specify further. I get to Cane's and there's 4 spots that say for mobile ordering. I park, no number on the sign to call or text. I look in the app, and it just says pickup. I run a quick mock order and sure enough, only pickup. So I went in and picked it up, off the shelf and went about my way. But the gripe is obvi the parking spots for mobile orders, for them to bring it out to you, but no such service. I think this is the 3rd time it's been like this for me. Other than that little gripe in a lot of words, food was on point like usual“

“This is the best chicken I’ve ever eaten. Amazing food, great price. I wish there was a way for me to regularly ship this chicken to my friends and family as they love it. Every time I go home I buy a bunch of whole chicken meals, put them in a cooler a take it to my folks. Heck, would be AMAZING if there was a location in my hometown. “Excellent 1/2 chicken with excellent onion, usual sides. I missed living in the neighborhood near the #2 North Lamar location. I stopped by at a slow time of day, polite staff and great food. Took to go, but the place was clean and ready for business later on in the day. Grabbed a couple neighborhood newspapers as I left.“
