“After meeting spike I was totally impressed with the pub and staff.my burger and frys was on staff snd I love the games and sports on TVs all around the pub and patio.i can tell the regulars was having a good time by it being my 1st time thair. “Kelly was our server she was the absolute best !!!! We come here because the wings n blue cheese are amazing , service is always mehhhhhh! We joke that no matter how bad the service is we quickly forget because of the flavor and freshness of our food !! We normally get the guy. He’s cute n smiles but once you got your food he may or may not come back !! But Kelly made sure we had everything we needed ! Including the wet wipes which I never knew they offered . “The lemon pepper wings fried in beef tallow is a hit. So delicious. Having dropped seed oil from my diet, its so great to have a restaurant that understand this and serve food to this demographic.

A note though. For some reason, the wings from Kirby location is way better than the Greenway location, just across the freeway! Management team, please work with the Greenway location to improve this. I deliberately order only from the Kirby location.“

“This place is one of my favorite taverns in Houston! The bar tender is always attentive and super friendly. The space is very comfortable and has lots of cozy nooks to chill out in. Great events and twice a week they host drop in games of Dungeons and Dragons, just show up and play! Professional DMs run the games and a seat at a game costs only about 10 or 15 bucks for a 3 to 4 hour one shot session. Oh! And monday steak night!!! It's actually really good steak.“

“We ordered room service from Birdies for dinner and had breakfast there the next morning. Lovely atmosphere, good service, clean environment and delicious food. We had the 14 oz Ribeye for dinner and Shrimp Mac and cheese for dinner. The next morning we chicken and waffles, and the omelet. Highly recommend.“

“Bow and bear is every bit an authentic Irish pub. The food tastes great and is reasonably priced. They have wide diversity of beers and spirits. Most importantly is how they treat you. They treat you like you’re a guest in their house instead of a customer at a bar. Each time I’ve been there, the bartenders have introduced themselves by name. They’re friendly and attentive, but not overly chatty. They’ve got a small outdoor seating area, which is great on nights that are cool enough to enjoy it. Bull and Bear has now become one of my spots. Anyone who tries it will probably make it theirs as well.“

“I eat here regularly for a good meal. I think $5 for a domestic beer is fair. Fancy beer may cost more because they sell a lot less of it. You don't get much of a cost break from the distributor when ordering low volumes. Comfortable atmosphere, not fancy at all.“

“This is my second time coming to Phoenix on Westheimer to watch games, and once again it did not disappoint. It’s a really nice spot with a great vibe and a fun atmosphere. The service is excellent, and everyone here is friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience even better.

The bartenders are especially great very sweet, professional, and attentive. They really know how to take care of customers and keep the energy positive. It’s the kind of place where you feel comfortable hanging out, whether you’re here to watch a game, grab drinks, or just relax with friends.

Overall, Phoenix on Westheimer is a very good spot to hang out, enjoy good service, and have a good time. I’ll definitely be coming back again.

She checked on us regularly, even though we were at the opposite end of the venue. With her quick thinking, she had a chocolate bar with a candle on it for my son to blow out. Must’ve been a busy and stressful night because what I encountered service wise particularly from one person (not the bartender) was rude and almost combative. (Maybe they are not getting the help they need to do their job?) I speak as someone with almost 20 years in the industry. I’ll go ahead and give them the benefit of the doubt on that as I really wanna like the place. Good food, games, cold drinks, and comedy shows.

Also beware they calculate the suggested gratuity including the tax; this is not how it’s typically done. I’m all for the staff getting paid and often tip in the 25-30% range but this feels a little deceptive.“

“I sat at the bar. Damian M. was very warm and attentive. He fixed my drinks perfectly and made sure to get my order correct while multitasking. The manager, Josh, made sure to check on tables throughout my visit and made me feel welcomed and appreciated. I love this location!

My only suggestion would be cleaning the bar top a little more often however I do understand there’s only so much one person can do at a time. ?“

“The hubs and I have come here twice. First time we got the steak and burger and a sampler platter. One of the best steaks I've ever had! And he loved his burger. This time we got taquitos and fried okra. I had catfish fillets and baked potato. He had chicken tenders which were hand breaded. So good again. The cooks here take pride in the food. I can't remember our first server but we had Nicole this time and she was absolutely amazing. Friendly and efficient. Made us feel very welcome. Nice bar for great neighborhood eats.“
