Then I met Jennifer who prepared my food with extra care & even taught me a pro tip for the next time I come. I highly recommend this Cava over any other locations I’ve went to because the customer service here, the vibes, & the professionalism were the best I’ve ever experienced. When you come, ask for Jennifer.. she will definitely take care of you! I personally think she deserves a promotion. 1000/10“

“Droubi's is the oldest Mediterranean place in houston from the 70's. I've been a customer since middle school & I am 42 today. It's Delicious, Authentic, & ALWAYS Affordable! Over 50 years and the same gentleman that owns Droubi's still runs it with his wife. Hats off & respect to both of them.“

“Great venue for private events serving amazing variety food, live music, and DJ. Artisticly presented, Vegas Style, buffet with excellent quality food.

Sound needs attention/ overhaul. Music was too Loud & Confused, distorting the overloaded drivers and/or insufficient Amplifiers to drive speakers. Should add separate Subs & Amps to handle the low frequencies & Refocusing some of the drivers may smooth higher frequencies & prevent clash.

Facility is extra clean and Highly recommend for engagements, weddings, and other events. It's a well appointed venue complemented with organized staff providing great service. Plenty of parking around the structure. Many Thanks 👍“

“Nice romantic place for Lebanese/Mediterranean food. The food and drinks were good. I really enjoyed the Falafel, Phoenician fries & the Hummus. They were quite flavorful & fresh. I was not a fan of the Semolina Gnocchi. In my opinion, it was lacking flavor & spice. I did explain this to the waiter & they offered to replace it with another dish to my liking. We were very full & the dish was comped. Excellent service. The ambiance is excelled as well. Very romantic atmosphere. The selection is fairly limited, leaning heavily toward cooked American-style rolls rather than authentic sushi. It’s a fun spot if you’re craving fusion, but a heads-up to the management: the website menu is outdated. The prices in-house are higher than what's listed online, which was a bit of a disappointing surprise.“

“In the Village for the afternoon and randomly picked this restaurant for lunch. Was a beautiful day and we were seated at there covered outdoor patio. Greeted by an extremely helpful and knowledgeable waiter. Took his time to help us with the menu as this was our first time there. Hummus is home made fresh and excellent. Had a delicious Turkish pizza and can highly recommend the Doner Kebab plate. Can’t wait to return and explore more items on the menu. Exceptional service and food. Highly recommend. 🧿“

“I have been going to Arpi’s many times over the past few years. It’s one of my favorite spots in Houston and I’ve recommended it and taken many friends and family there. My favorite plate by far is the lamb shawarma plate with the mujaddara and either the roasted cauliflower or the roasted eggplant.

Now that I understand the menu, ordering isn’t intimidating. But at the beginning it definitely was. When I bring friends, they often have me order for them. I recognize that it’s usually the same faces behind the counter (which is nice that they’ve had the same employees for years), but they don’t always seem very inviting when it comes to helping customers choose food.

If you’re new and want to walk down the line to look at the dishes before deciding, it can feel like you’re being rushed. It seems like they expect you to order right at the front of the counter before you’ve had a chance to see the full display. Sometimes when I want to take an extra 30 seconds to look, I get the feeling that they’d rather you hurry up.

Also, lately there hasn’t been pita bread out unless you ask for it.

The last two times I visited, they also didn’t have any fountain drinks available. I had to pick from their limited bottled options. I like diet drinks and they did not have any diet bottled drinks. Hopefully that’s been fixed.

I had a baby in 2024, and coming here with a child has made me notice a few other things. The high chairs are usually hidden in the back and there are only a couple of them. The straps are sticky and loose, so they don’t really secure a baby well. When I ask for one, it sometimes feels like I’m inconveniencing the staff. If they were just out in the open, I’d happily grab one myself.

Just a quick note for others: their patio is not dog friendly. I called recently because a friend visiting me wanted to bring her small dog, and they said no. I mention it because some websites list them as dog friendly. I’ve even seen dogs tied to their patio chairs before, so maybe the policy changed.

My last two visits were also a little disappointing food-wise. One plate had a lot of rice and potatoes but very little meat -- just a few slivers -- which hadn’t been my experience before. It was also heavily covered in what I believe was sumac. It might be nice if they asked before adding a lot of it, since I usually share food with my baby and she doesn’t love that flavor on it's own.

Another time they accidentally gave me beef shawarma when I had ordered lamb. I realized after I had already started eating it and didn’t have the energy to go back to the counter and say anything.

That said, I still enjoy Arpi’s and the food overall. I just wish the atmosphere felt a little more welcoming and that the experience had stayed as consistent as it used to be.“

“I was out dashing really late at night, pregnant and with my 5 yr old son! I was having troubles transferring money over to pay and they told me next time and served me anyways! They are absolutely amazing and the food made my son and I want to dance! The chicken Shawarma, fries and side of peppers and veggies were delightful and everything was served beautifully!
