“Small town cafe' atmosphere with great tasting food and service. Recommend the onion rings , smash berger , bbq crabs and gumbo wife and I ordered. Our waitress Jasmine was polite and helpful. Appears to have a dedicated working staff.“
“Excellent service the waiters were very nice and gave me good advice on my selections Great ambiance it has a cozy feel like as if I was back in Louisiana home The food was great amazing just the right amount of seasoning I plan on making this my go to spot whenever I'm in the area coming from Houston“
“Yes. The gravy is dark. And soooo good! Glad I gave this place a try. Will definitely return. We pulled up right at opening and there were already several people ahead of us. Obviously has a strong local following. We tried smothered chops, hamburger steak, and beef tips. The kids immediately liked it. Parking was easy, staff was friendly and fast. The cabbage was already flavored. No hot sauce needed. Mac n cheese, sweet yams, cabbage, cornbread and taters and gravy were all on point in large servings. And the tea is just right. Will definitely return.“
“You better come hungry. 'Cause this place is gonna feed you! Blue collar, cafeteria style joint. Not fancy. Not healthy. You are here to EAT! And boy it's good. It's a meat n three type of place. The kind of lunch that'll put you in a coma after you've finished . Line might be long but service is fast. Need to get filled up for a reasonable price and get out on time... try this spot.“
“Absolutely Amazing staff and Very Good food.I even got to See the largest "Turnup" I had ever seen and I took a picture with it.LolParking: Parking is No problem and the staff is So efficient at listening to your selection that it keeps people coming in and out which frees up parking slots.“
“Was told to try Edith's by my wife, and was not disappointed! I got the Big Tex sandwich for breakfast and was told I'd be taking a nap after it. The people there were very friendly and hospitable. Will definitely be going back for more. Time for my nap.“
“This place was highly recommended to me, because I'm from New Orleans and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE fish and shrimp! I have now visited Sam's twice in Beaumont, TX...I have had the seafood FRIED and GRILLED. I can honestly say it is DELICIOUS, and it's the closest taste to NOLA food that I've ever experienced in TeXas. I truly ENJOYED every bite, it was SEASONED perfectly, the STRING BEANS are also cooked perfectly...and I APPRECIATED my plates being cooked FRESH to order.“
“Good, fresh food with plenty of healthy options on the buffet like baked chicken and green veggies. Fried chicken is really good, you can tell they filter/clean their frying oil properly. Highly recommend the dirty rice, sweet potatoes and cabbage.“
“We went with 6 people and our service was excellent. I wish I had gotten our servers name before we left so I could give her a good review. She was blonde and had her hair shaved on the underneath part. She was very tentative to us. As a server myself, I like to give them a shout out when they do an excellent job to let them know I appreciate them. Sorry I didn't pay more attention this time. The food was pretty good as well.“
“This place has dropped to the lowest of low. Not sure why there is all this Cajun decorations. 88% of the menu is Mexican. There is no buffet anymore! There is no Cajun band. The crawfish taste like water. They really are not geared for seafood. The service from wait staff is beyond horrible your like a burden to them as six wait staff stand around talking. What a shame. Food horrible, Service horrible.Atmosphere was noon existent for the 6 people in the whole place. This happened on Saturday night 6 pm 4/6/2024 never going back. New owners ruined it in no time“
“Homestyle meals which is always great. I found the food to lack a little flavor, but it’s hard to find a good home style meal so I’ll be back. Quick service in a casual diner. Nothing fancy but good place to grab a solid lunch. Portion sizes are large . Parking lot is large and we had no wait at 11:20 on a weekday.“
