Sashimi platter of barracuda, young seabream and snapper was very good. Barracuda was delicate, fantastic; the umami-heavy seabream was slightly fishy, yet good, and the snapper was most complex with a more fatty feel than the other two. Make sure to ask for the fresh wasabi. Astonishing quality for a strip-mall kind of location. Neighborhood smart-casual vibe. Highly recommended.“

“Food is amazing and fresh, not to mention the great price! Portions are normal-large scale, and the atmosphere is cozy yet has a certain food stall feel to it. Service was fast, and they didn't let your cup go empty for long. I drive 30-40 min fight traffic on I45 to get here.“

We sat at the bar where Chris took our experience to a whole new dimension. “We come here about once a week and always have a great experience. This time we got spicy Edamame (it's more of a spicy, sweet. VERY good) Gyoza/ Japanese Dumplings, Pork Egg rolls, Orange chicken, (cooked not spicy) and General TSO chicken. Everything has great flavor and is cooked perfectly! The atmosphere is also nice with lots of details in the restaurant including a large TV on the wall. Love coming here!“
“My mother and I are the only two people in our family who are big on sushi. Unfortunately, our previously preferred sushi place did not survive the pandemic. And she has moved , so we have been looking in a different area to find some place that suits us both.Originally, we were looking at a popular chain, but Fujiya popped up on my search, so we figured we'd check it out.Extremely charming interior! We very much had fun looking at the parasols on the ceiling.We both wanted a little something to drink. My hot sake was tasty, but mom had a little bit of trouble with the house cab. Staff quickly fixed the situation, however.Annoyingly enough, I have a sesame allergy. This is difficult for many sushi restaurants, but I truly do enjoy sushi, so I still try. They were incredibly gracious about it and willing to work with me.Our waitress was attentive and kind.We started off with some spicy edamame and spring rolls, delicious.And then we moved on to sushi.My mother had the Spiderman roll, and I tried the black angel and the kiss of fire.Spectacular.My mother ended up stealing a third of my black angel roll. “We ordered the calamari and got what appeared to be a half order when we asked the waitress she told us it's because they are bigger pieces. Lol no I'm pretty sure they are all the same size. Went to take a bite and the calamari was as cold as spicy mayo. Yuck!!! Sushi should be could not your calamari. Waitress was very dismissive and didn't care about what was brought to her attention. Also we frequent this place very often and even the takeout calamari is hotter than what we got served. Do better!“

“Went there around Homecoming time on a Saturday evening. My husband and I were waiting for my younger daughter, who was having ice cream nearby with friends. We had our little dog on a leash with us and spontaneously decided to grab some dinner while waiting. We saw some outdoor seating at Shogun, so we asked if it was ok if we ate out there with our dog. They were kind enough to oblige. Despite it being very busy with Homecoming crowds of teenagers, the service was quite prompt and courteous. Someone from the staff (? Maybe owner or manager) even brought out a little paper bowl for us to pour water in for our puppy. Food was very good. We enjoyed the experience. We will definitely be back!“
“I took my mom on a date and the food was so good! It was our first experience of the place, I had the duck with a pu pu platter and it was scrumptious. It was a bit cold though but I still enjoyed the food and service. When I asked for a drink they made me a special in-house beverage according to what I liked. I loved exactly what they made for me and my mom and it was such a joyous experience. Carter was our server and she did such an excellent job and gave us great service. I'll be returning for my birthday in a couple of months for sure, I might go sooner though we'll see haha ?“
“This was my first take-out experience with Akashi, although I've eaten lunch at the restaurant on several occasions. All previous experiences have been positive and this was not an exception. The food was very well packaged and the aroma from the stir fries and spices let me know that I was in for a tasty meal. The orange chicken was crunchy and glazed with a sweet orange sauce. It came with a side of fried rice, soup and eggroll. It was a quick, tasty, and filling meal. At $9.95 for most dishes on the lunch menu, I highly recommend Akasi for dining-in or takeout lunches.“
“Fang's is our go-to place for Chinese food. The food is always hot, fresh, and delicious. The costs, though higher than it used to be (not surprised, given the state of things), are still reasonable, and the portions are very generous. The staff is very friendly as well. Will always be a fan!“
“My wife and I had a delightful lunch date here at Wasabi Bistro today. The restaurant was very clean, service was great and the sushi was amazing. I was pleasantly surprised to find a great sushi place close by. The others we have tried locally are not very good and we normal drive all the way to the front of the woodlands. So glad we tried a new place today it will be are go to for now on. It was very hard to pick just two of there specialty rolls, they all sounded good. I can't wait to try the rest of the menu, as the seemed to have some great lunch items and the Bento box's that I saw also looked good. ?“
“My son and I go as often as we can. They have some of the freshest sushi around and their all you can eat menu has grown over the last year. The servers are hit n miss some great some not so great so make sure you are nice to the server and they will come back sooner for your next order and keep it coming. The food tastes amazing. The place is very clean. Highly recommend. They have a regular menu too and kid friendly food.“
