“My family has been going to Baris since it opened in 1997 when we lived in Pflugerville. My youngest son turned 21 and requested Baris for his birthday last night. We haven't been for a few years as we moved about 30 minutes away. It was so much fun visiting an old fave. Food quality is amazing, the menu hasn't changed and we were delighted to see the daughter that was bussing tables as a kid is now running the restaurant. Such a local gem. Thank you Brianna for your hospitality last night!“

“My husband and I came here for date night and were blown away by the food! I didn’t realize a new restaurant/Chef took over but am glad they did! The food and service were amazing! We came in during happy hour. The smoked buffalo wings, beef sliders, calamari, shishito peppers and truffle fries were all amazing!!! We will return! Thank you!“

“Love this wine bar! It’s a great place to sit outside with your dog or sit inside and cowork. Truly a gem of the neighborhood. I typically order food from Little Deli because their pizza is EVERYTHING I want! VC has a great wine selection and beautiful dish wear.“

“I hosted a small vendor Pop•Up there this past Fri night, and it was a blast! Great service— and fast! Such a cozy atmosphere, definitely should be your neighborhood spot if you live in Round Rock! The Pepperoni Flatbread is super tasty, and such an amazing array of wines to go with it! Perfect if you have a Girls Night, Date Night, or social Meetup!“

“Mandolas is a wonderful restaurant. I love going in on Thursday. That's the day they have Cannelloni Florentina. It is delicious. Thin sheets of pasta stuffed with braised chicken, spinach, Romano & Fontina cheeses, baked in a became sauce with a touch of marinara. I pair it with a Mista salad. Nice mix of greens, olives, a bit of celery and a wonderful house dressing oils, herbs and cheese. Yum! The wait staff are friendly and attentive. They are the only restaurant in the area that the staff clears away plates and bowls to give you room to rest your arms, or make room for desert plates. It's always satisfying to eat at Mandolas. I take friends or meet friends at the restaurant often. It's nice to see the same staff at the restaurant. Managers and staff come to your table to check on you and ask if you need anything. If you do need something they bring it right away! I will be going back soon.“

“It was a wonderful day celebrating my Big Homie for Father's Day. Our starter dish was the Shellfish Louie Salad. I really wanted him to have the salad that bears his name. Everything was delicious and delightful at Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar An extra special shout-out to James Cooke the Manager, Christian Martinez the wine manager, Yvette the Hostess, Edwin and Joshua our servers! Here's the "cherry on top" ....While we were eating, enjoying dinner and each other Let's Stay Together was playing in the background. Who doesn't LOVE an AMAZING playlist 🥰 #TeamLouVetteDavis 👩🏽❤️💋👨🏽 #BattleBuddy4Life 🫂“

“Being seated was a little slow, so make reservations, as they get pretty packed. There's an utdoor seating option with igloo dinning. Perfect as it was a little sprinkly that night. It added a nice touch to the comfortably decorated area with pillows, blanket. Super cozy. We chose to eat outdoors due to the noise level inside. The igloo dome dinning has a $200 minimum 2 hour maximum. They have a extensive wine menu. Everything eatan from beginning to end was excellent. Upbeat music selection Can't wait to visit again.“

“Give Bufalina their Due! What an excellent experience all around.
The parking is a little tricky and there tends to be a little wait during happy hour, but trust me - it’s all worth it. This is high quality food made with expertise and love. Many of their major ingredients like the mozzarella cheese are made by a professional in-house and it absolutely shows.
The big stand-outs of our meal were the fried mozzarella and the vanilla ice cream. Yes - I did say vanilla ice cream. Don’t knock it until you try it. It’s also made in-house by a pro.
We also ordered the Talarico pizza and rigatoni pasta - everything was packed with flavor. The mozzarella started us out strong but the entrees still delivered.
We will definitely be coming back.“

“We’ve been to The Water Trough a few times now and in aggregate it is a fun and lively place to dine at. The closest parking is the Orange Garage so the walk over is quick. Breakfast or dinner, it is a nice, clean place with a good vibe and good food. The setting at night is much better as they have live music most nights and put up the garage shutter so you can hear it from their outdoor portion as well.
On the breakfast side of things we sat quickly and service was okay. We ordered the Texas breakfast tacos and the pancakes, hash browns, and bacon a la carte. The breakfast tacos were good. We got them with brisket and the portion was huge, although we wish it came with three tortillas instead of two because it was more than we could fit into them. The eggs, cheese, and brisket all came together and despite what reads as a smaller dish, we were pretty full by it. As for the pancakes, hash browns, and bacon; all were pretty classic versions of them. The pancakes were good, thin and sweet. The hash browns were cooked well with a slight crunch and the bacon was the highlight of the three, full of flavor with a nice chew and crisp. We also ordered chocolate milk, but whatever we got was NOT chocolate milk. It was closer to a frothed drink and had cinnamon in it which was a bit strange. The waitress could clearly see we were not feeling it and she comped it on our bill which was very, very nice of her to do without asking.
The dinner here is much better than the breakfast admittedly. The live music certainly helps and the vibe with the low lighting gives it a very nice feel when dining. We had the country fried steak and LSC burger, both very good. The country fried steak was one of the better ones we’ve had here, extremely savory and the fries were good too. The burger was juicy and full of flavor as well. Beware the fries here are really home fries or cubed fries in case geometry is not your thing.
Ultimately, The Water Trough is a very good place to eat at and is probably a bit overlooked due to its location in The Domain, but between solid food and good live music scene, we don’t see why anyone wouldn’t want to stop by. We’d recommend this spot as an alternative to the hustle and bustle of the north Domain and for those preferring a more relaxed and intimate night of food and music.“
