Wyatt and I came in to celebrate our anniversary (and casually said it was our anniversary too because… why not 😌), and BABY—within FIVE minutes, Jake came back out with cake and ice cream like he had been waiting his whole life for this moment. No hesitation. No “let me check.” Just straight excellence.

Now let’s talk about Valery —because when I say “bartender in chief,” I mean she is running the whole experience like a CEO. She is locked in. The level of detail, the attentiveness, the way she listens AND observes… it’s giving elite. You don’t even have to ask—she already caught it. And on top of that, the conversation.. 10/10. Engaging, natural, not forced. The kind of energy that makes you sit longer than you planned and order one more round just to keep the vibe going.
Jake—so kind, so smooth with it, and clearly about the guest experience. That quick thoughtful gesture is the stuff you don’t forget. It wasn’t just service—it felt personal.
And THAT is the difference.
They didn’t just serve drinks—they made us feel celebrated. Seen. Taken care of. Like we walked in as guests and left as family. You can’t train customer service like that —you either have it or you don’t. And they BOTH have it. We will be back… not once, not twice… but a smooth 1,000 times Give them all the snaps. The portobello goat cheese hot sandwich was divine, the fresh house salad with the lemon vinaigrette was refreshing, and the cortado was well brewed and the foam was well done. My best friend had the same sandwich with the soup of the day, vegetable and chickpea, and she said it was good and savory. Nick, our server, was attentive without being overbearing, and the atmosphere is homey and fun with lemonade stand summer vibes. If I still lived in the area, I’d come here often to try the rest of the food on the menu!“

“My family stumbled onto Mandola’s ItalianKitchen in Odessa Florida. What a delightful restaurant! From the moment we walked in, the customer service was excellent. We were greeted at the door by the manager, Chris. He explained how the restaurant ordering and seating worked. We ordered at the counter, where the young woman patiently took our order, clarifying along the way. The wine selection for the casual environment was impressive. We were given a table number and we found a seat. Immediately someone brought warm focaccia bread and Italian oil to dip it in. Our food arrived at our table surprisingly quick. The portions were huge (luckily we were provided to-go boxes when we were ready to leave) The servers were friendly and professional. The chefs were visible as they prepared the food. Our used dishes were removed promptly as we finished one course after another. Then Chris, the manager who first greeted us, came to our table to ensure that our experience had been not just satisfactory, but excellent. Which it was! We are putting Mandola’s Odessa on our favorite restaurant list for when we return to Tampa. Thank you!“

“Went with some girlfriends for brunch & we had such a good time. The restaurant is spacious and was able to fit our large group ! I got a pizza and salad which was fresh and solid. The ranch was house made and very good too.

Shoutout to Jade for recommending the matcha martini. Didn’t realize at first they had brunch cocktails t& the matcha martini had me in a chokehold. I’m OBSESSED! Please make this part of the menu / happy hour . Service was great & I will definitely be back again .“

“My family has been going to Baris since it opened in 1997 when we lived in Pflugerville. My youngest son turned 21 and requested Baris for his birthday last night. We haven't been for a few years as we moved about 30 minutes away. It was so much fun visiting an old fave. Food quality is amazing, the menu hasn't changed and we were delighted to see the daughter that was bussing tables as a kid is now running the restaurant. Such a local gem.
