“My family has been going to Baris since it opened in 1997 when we lived in Pflugerville. My youngest son turned 21 and requested Baris for his birthday last night. We haven't been for a few years as we moved about 30 minutes away. It was so much fun visiting an old fave. Food quality is amazing, the menu hasn't changed and we were delighted to see the daughter that was bussing tables as a kid is now running the restaurant. Such a local gem. Wyatt and I came in to celebrate our anniversary (and casually said it was our anniversary too because… why not 😌), and BABY—within FIVE minutes, Jake came back out with cake and ice cream like he had been waiting his whole life for this moment. No hesitation. No “let me check.” Just straight excellence.

Now let’s talk about Valery —because when I say “bartender in chief,” I mean she is running the whole experience like a CEO. She is locked in. The level of detail, the attentiveness, the way she listens AND observes… it’s giving elite. You don’t even have to ask—she already caught it. And on top of that, the conversation.. 10/10. Engaging, natural, not forced. The kind of energy that makes you sit longer than you planned and order one more round just to keep the vibe going.
Jake—so kind, so smooth with it, and clearly about the guest experience. That quick thoughtful gesture is the stuff you don’t forget. It wasn’t just service—it felt personal.
And THAT is the difference.
They didn’t just serve drinks—they made us feel celebrated. Seen. Taken care of. Like we walked in as guests and left as family. You can’t train customer service like that —you either have it or you don’t. And they BOTH have it. We will be back… not once, not twice… but a smooth 1,000 times Give them all the snaps. “The staff is always very friendly and welcoming, the coffee is good, and I like the interior. I’m only taking one star off because the wine is extremely marked up, and once you notice it, it’s hard to unsee. For example, an Albe Barolo is priced at $75+, while the exact same bottle can be found at Whole Foods or Total Wine for under $40.

“This location of the Grove is easy to miss, but hard to forget. Great patio, on both side of the building. Parking is plentiful but a bit tight. The staff is excellent, knowledgeable and friendly. The menu is a nice balance of having a nice variety but not being the cheesecake factory. It's called the grove, so they have a nice wine list. We did a flight and it was a nice way to get a few different options without going crazy, blended very well.“

“My family stumbled onto Mandola’s ItalianKitchen in Odessa Florida. What a delightful restaurant! From the moment we walked in, the customer service was excellent. We were greeted at the door by the manager, Chris. He explained how the restaurant ordering and seating worked. We ordered at the counter, where the young woman patiently took our order, clarifying along the way. The wine selection for the casual environment was impressive. We were given a table number and we found a seat. Immediately someone brought warm focaccia bread and Italian oil to dip it in. Our food arrived at our table surprisingly quick. The portions were huge (luckily we were provided to-go boxes when we were ready to leave) The servers were friendly and professional. The chefs were visible as they prepared the food. Our used dishes were removed promptly as we finished one course after another. Then Chris, the manager who first greeted us, came to our table to ensure that our experience had been not just satisfactory, but excellent. Which it was! We are putting Mandola’s Odessa on our favorite restaurant list for when we return to Tampa. Thank you!“

“Went with some girlfriends for brunch & we had such a good time. The restaurant is spacious and was able to fit our large group ! I got a pizza and salad which was fresh and solid. The ranch was house made and very good too.

Shoutout to Jade for recommending the matcha martini. Didn’t realize at first they had brunch cocktails t& the matcha martini had me in a chokehold. I’m OBSESSED! Please make this part of the menu / happy hour . Service was great & I will definitely be back again .“

“Buffalina continues to shine as one of the best pizza spots and best happy hours in town. They have a great wine selection and smaller craft beer selection. Their pies are all great, but the potato pie has been my go-to reecently. At 50% off during happy hour, it's hard to beat. They also have great salads, pasta, and desserts.“
