“Capt Pete's is a boathouse restaurant at Point Venture on Lake Travis. They have a fairly large indoor and outdoor seating area and are open from 11am to 10pm daily. Menu is that of a typical casual restaurant with signature fried catfish and shrimp baskets, burgers, nachos and other American classics. Had lunch here recently and found their fried catfish to be decent. It was a really thin fillet like a schnitzel but it tasted ok. Fries served were heavily seasoned and tasted fine as well. Service was friendly and timely. Enjoyed feeding the giant catfish and carp beside Capt Pete's as much as eating lunch here. That was fun!”

“I am new to Austin and am lucky enough to live a stone's throw away from Manolis. We have gone 5 times since moving so it's finally time for a review! Manolis is genuinely my favorite spot in Austin. First, they have a wonderful variety of sweet treats. From ice cream (dairy and non dairy), to pastries, sorbets, milkshakes, and coffee, there is truly something for everyone. Everything we have ordered has been absolutely delicious. Second is the service. There are few places I have been where I feel more welcome than Manolis. They are passionate about what they serve and make every person who comes through feel like a regular. The owners are genuinely some of the kindest people I have had the pleasure of meeting in Austin and they deserve business. Third is the location! Can be tough to get around the 290 construction but Manolis is worth every minute of your time. The complex has covered picnics tables, heaters, games, and a playground. It's cozy, charming, and a great place to sit on a beautiful night. If you are on the southwest side, GO TO MANOLIS. If you live in Central Texas, GO TO MANOLIS. Heck, if you live in Oklahoma, it's worth the trip. They are open Friday-Sunday and I look forward to their tasty treats all week. I will support this business for as long as I live here!”

“This is my favorite place! I can never decide between a salad or a pizza so I usually get both. The ingredients are fresh, flavors are unique, and quality is always top notch. My favorites are the Avocado Goddess salad, IL Greco and Pineapple Express pizzas. I can order ahead, be greeted with the best service and even grab a bottle of wine for an easy evening in. 10/10 recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“I have been looking forward to trying Abby Jane, grain to table makes me so happy. We bought a donut, almond monkey bread, chocolate babka, and a sourdough loaf (pan). The pastries were amazing, it was 2:40pm and the donut was incredibly soft. The almond monkey bread was just sweet enough and I will be buying my sandwhich bread from them. My only issue was the chocolate babka was a bit dry and burned on the edges.”

“In a bad year for crawfish when none of the usual stores in central Texas had it, especially with Sunday pickup, we almost resorted to a lowly shrimp boil. Pops Crawfish came through big with some of the biggest and baddest crawfish I’ve ever bought. Good price (all things considered), great people, and a fantastic quality. Only 9 dead out of two sacks on a Sunday is a big win. I’ll never trust our annual crawfish boil to anyone else.”

“This Brazilian steakhouse is incredible! We were treated like kings and queens. The staff was at our beckon call. They were so attentive that they took care of our needs before we even asked. Of course their food was impeccable. It was the best quality and seasoned meats that I have had at any Brazilian steakhouse. The restaurant was upscale but also felt very welcoming for everyone. I highly recommend the steakhouse over others in the Austin area.”

“The food is absolutely delicious here. We were visiting from Austin for 1 night and we stopped by here. The buffalo chicken sandwich was better than almost any fried chicken sandwiches I’ve had in Austin. Light, crispy, fresh, and fried to perfection. It didn’t reek of fryer oil and it wasn’t too heavy. It was simple and fresh ingredients executed beautifully. We also got the margarita pizza and it was also fresh and tasty. Loved the sauce and the crust, but I felt like it wasn’t as much of a star as the sandwich was. Anyway, if you’re around here, you absolutely need to give this place a try. The food is fire and 10/10.”

“I really enjoy their bowls and their ingredients are fresh and they have many options to choose from. I stopped at the Camp Hill, PA location. My only complaint is that chia pudding bowls are not an option and this is the closest location for me since I live in Hanover, PA…an hour drive. Friendly helpful staff”

“What a great find and near Hamilton Pool. Came here after a hike on the Pedernales River and what a place to have a sit down with family or friends and enjoy good local beer. Appreciated how large and shaded their outdoor area was (the inside has a bit less seating). I had the pils - it was great. There is a food truck out back with pretzels, pizza and salad - was also really good.If you’re in the area it’s worth the stop.”

“What a truly relaxing experience. My partner and I came here to have an afternoon for ourselves. The interior was so cute with comfy chairs and various spots to sit. We drank a few glasses of wine and beer and ordered some small plates. The Sauvignon Blanc was so crisp. The smoked Gouda pimento dip was really good. Service was amazing, attentive, and genuinely so friendly. We will definitely be back to try more of the menu.”
