Trout Street Bar & Grill Reviews
Waited over an hour which for a holiday weekend I get. Was served either overcooked fried shrimp or cooked in old oil it was dark brown almost black tried one it was chewy 🤮 told the server it shouldn’t have been served this way just to be told he had other tables and walked away! The manager had another plate made and this time the shrimp was still raw on two of them.
Will definitely not be returning.
The fish tacos were outstanding and the service (Tyler) excellent.
My wife and I brought in our Catch of the Day which was 12 trout fillets. When they brought us our cooked order it was six black drum fillets. After numerous attempts to contact the general manager no one has responded.Very disappointed!!

Trout Street Bar & Grill is a popular spot with a nice vibe and a scenic outside seating area with a view of the sea. The ambiance by the marina is pleasant, and some guests have even spotted porpoises during their visits. The place is very clean and aesthetic. While dishes like the shrimp po boy sandwich can be hit or miss, the Mahi sandwich is outstanding, and the brown butter mahi-mahi is well cooked with a tasty sauce. The calamari is good, along with its dipping sauce. Guests often enjoy the great service, which is friendly and attentive. The food is wonderful, especially the shrimp Alfredo, which features perfectly grilled shrimp. Although it might take a while to get meals—sometimes up to 45 minutes—their adult drinks, like the great margarita and strong piña colada, are worth the wait. The setting is incredible, built into a series of condos and backing up to a yacht yard, offering spectacular outside views. Inside, the decor is cozy, beachy, and well-lit with lots of windows. Customers frequently recommend the Cajun Redfish with gumbo, seafood pasta, and cheese fries. The prices are fair for the generous portions. Occasionally, there are small mix-ups, like incorrect orders or plates being dropped, but the staff always remains friendly and helpful. Visitors often find the drinks, especially craft beers and cocktails like Nueces Blood Moon and Spicy Paradise, to exceed expectations. Overall, Trout Street Bar & Grill is a must-visit place for delicious food, refreshing drinks, and friendly service on the island.
