Chicken Restaurants near Portland

“Great fast & efficient service!“

“I was in the Portland store with family during powerful hail storm on November 1st 2025. The staff was awesome. They seemed prepared for a disaster. Two front doors were shattered and employees moved us further into store. Even after the storm, they escorted us out a side door to avoid broken glass. They continued to be deeply concerned about our damaged vehicle and our safety. As a first responder, I was impressed.“

“The best pollo asado in corpus!!“

“Stopped here to try something new and we’re so glad we did. The chicken was hot and crispy but still juicy. The fries and rings were delicious and the sweet tea was the best I’ve ever had. The staff is very friendly and fun. I would give them 10 stars if I could. We will definitely be back!“

“Hands down the best roast chicken I've had in Corpus Christi. It's roasted at the perfect temperature so it stays super juicy, not dry at all.

The price is unbeatable — you can get 4 quarter legs for $6 and it comes with onions and tortillas. I personally don't love the rice and beans, so I always just get the chicken.

I wish they had a good salsa to go with it, but honestly for that price I don't mind making my own at home.

Please open another Flaming Bird on the South Side!

“great food and chiken 🥹✌️✌️“

“All my tenders were still pink inside so they weren't cooked all the way through but overall the experience was good. I also had a burger. Even though I said no mustard it still has mustard. But clearly off day in the kitchen I guess. Not knocking it. I'd try it again. Clean your tea nozzles.“

“It was busy, and i ain't hating that ✨ The Church's team members are awesome 😎 Hard working crew 🙏 I decided to go through the drive-thru and the person at the window was friendly, fast and is always a ray of sunshine 🌞
Church's at Greenwood in C.C is my go to every time 🙌“

“Omg 😲 I was truly AMAZED with JoLyn's awesome CUSTOMER SERVICE 🏆 She's always cheery and welcoming, maje your dining experience TOTALLY AMAZING, Ty JoLyn, you showed great job ethics !!! I always try to visit, when she's working, to see her smiling face 🌝“

“This is a great group of people working together as a team the only reason I gave 3 stars for atmosphere is because it was so cold I had to take my food and eat in the car but they are running around working so hard and fast I would need it cold in there too so not a big deal really. They apologized for the wait but it wasn't long and I got hot fresh wings so worth the wait the woman's bathroom was very clean too.“

“I placed an order for 40pcs of chicken to be ready by 11:15am. the order was ready, hot, and fresh when I arrived. The manager there named ROB was a super nice guy and his team seemed to follow his lead. They were working as a team and everyone had a smile on their face. Great job guys! I was really impressed with the team effort at this location“
