“If you are ever traveling down I-45 between Ennis and Corsicana and are hungry stop at Rice Cafe - Rice, Texas. It was recommended by a friend and we had lunch there today. You are greeted with a friendly smile and find your spot in this small cafe that will seat maybe 45 people. Looked like lots of locals eat there and they know your order. They give you a tasty cup of soup to start. We ordered and devoured the best fried, home made hot onion rings. Curt enjoyed his chicken fried chicken (the coating stayed on) mashed potatoes, gravy and corn. I enjoyed my chopped steak, onion gravy, green beans and awesome fried okra. Everything was fresh and hot! Very reasonable prices. I hear the pancakes are the best my friend has ever had. They are family owned and have been in business since 2018. So glad we stopped. And we have a small portion of each meal to have for dinner tonight.”

“We've driven past this place on I-45 for over 25 years, and never checked it out until today. So glad we did! Friendly counter experience. Scrumptious sliced brisket and pay-attention SPICY sausage. Old-fashioned menu with reliable sides. Too many choices - we'll have to come back and try the ribs.”

“Pierogi with kielbasa was delicious but the potato filled pierogi were very bland. Cucumber salad was amazing. Cabbage rolls were delicious except that the cabbage was undercooked and very tough to eat.”

Not only was she outstanding, she was so very kind as to ask permission to hold our fussy baby so that we could finish our meals! “We have been to Taqueria El Jacalito on Kaufman a couple of times, We will definitely be back. They have never let us down. The tacos I ordered were mouth watering and my husband ordered the chicken quesadilla with beans and rice. If you like something spicy then get the orange sauce. “I'm sitting here at Gorditas Chavez eating the cheeseburger 🍔 I ordered and OMG!!!! There's a party going on in my mouth! Just thought I should let y'all know. This burger has really inspired me. 😋 Sorry I didn't take a pic of the entire thing. I was ready to just dig in. 😅 EVERYTHING we have ever ordered is DELICIOUS! So if you're craving a good burger and are tired of the ones from town, you definitely want to try one of these! And of course the gorditas, (their specialty), are the best I've ever had! 😁”
