“If you are ever traveling down I-45 between Ennis and Corsicana and are hungry stop at Rice Cafe - Rice, Texas. It was recommended by a friend and we had lunch there today. You are greeted with a friendly smile and find your spot in this small cafe that will seat maybe 45 people. Looked like lots of locals eat there and they know your order. They give you a tasty cup of soup to start. We ordered and devoured the best fried, home made hot onion rings. Curt enjoyed his chicken fried chicken (the coating stayed on) mashed potatoes, gravy and corn. I enjoyed my chopped steak, onion gravy, green beans and awesome fried okra. Everything was fresh and hot! Very reasonable prices. I hear the pancakes are the best my friend has ever had. They are family owned and have been in business since 2018. So glad we stopped. And we have a small portion of each meal to have for dinner tonight.”

The pierogi are tasty, generously filled and clearly made with care, while the friendly service adds to the experience. “We’ve always had wonderful food & service here, but recently we had the absolute pleasure of having Lisa as our server. Not only was she outstanding, she was so very kind as to ask permission to hold our fussy baby so that we could finish our meals! We were so grateful and we will definitely be back to visit, especially since our baby boy now has a new friend! ❤️”

“I'm sitting here at Gorditas Chavez eating the cheeseburger 🍔 I ordered and OMG!!!! There's a party going on in my mouth! Just thought I should let y'all know. This burger has really inspired me. 😋 Sorry I didn't take a pic of the entire thing. I was ready to just dig in. 😅 EVERYTHING we have ever ordered is DELICIOUS! “We have been to Taqueria El Jacalito on Kaufman a couple of times, We will definitely be back. They have never let us down. The tacos I ordered were mouth watering and my husband ordered the chicken quesadilla with beans and rice. If you like something spicy then get the orange sauce. “Our first time in and they secured us as future customers forever. The Lengua tacos were beyond generous. My wife's chicken flauta plate was a culinary work of art. We both ate more than we should and still had leftovers. Salsa Verde is 5 🌟!!!”
