“Excellent Mexican Food, I am very picky about the quality and style of my Mexican Food. This Mexican food is the best I have found not only in Ellis County but DFW area, reminds me of South Texas style- Jalisco style food. Especially the Carne Guisada is made South Texas style all gravy no vegetables mixed in. The tortillas are monsters, a little different, I usually tear them in to pieces to use the are so large-- 😆

“We have been to Taqueria El Jacalito on Kaufman a couple of times, We will definitely be back. They have never let us down. The tacos I ordered were mouth watering and my husband ordered the chicken quesadilla with beans and rice. If you like something spicy then get the orange sauce. “Everything is so good and fresh. The corn in a cup, watermelon, cantaloupe, honeydew and cucumber smoothies. They are so fresh tasting. Also try the strawberries and cream. Everything is so so good.“

I had the gordita plate (2 bean and cheese gorditas w/r&b)(9), my wife had the taco plate (3 pastor tacos w/r&b)(9), and we split an agua fresca jamaica (4). Chips came out warm with a great salsa. Our meals were out in good order with a smooth salsa verde and a salsa roja that will light you up. Nothing fancy here, but they haven't jacked their prices up like greedy people have been doing everywhere else. As you may have noticed, I give five stars to only the most transformative experiences - this place more than earned its four!“
