“I have no idea what these people are talking about with some pretty intense and overblown criticism. I’m not Ethiopian but I’ve been eating this stuff for 12 years now. Regularly. I’ve tried Ethiopian food all over the country and this place deserves its respect. We had the kitfo, beef tibs, and veggie combo dish and I’ll tell you, gooood good. The beef itself melted in your mouth with that buttery marinade. Everything was so good all together. So, please be fair when reviewing this place.“

“Full disclosure I have never had Ethiopian food before but I was in the neighborhood for a professional development class and my friend recommended this place.
We get the beef tibs to share and it was spectacular. The flavors and textures of the vegetables and meat were wonderful and the injera was so light and fluffy. The chef even gave my friend some extra seasoning for her half of the dish because she likes things a little spicier than I do. Great service and wonderful food. I will surely be back!“

“Best customer service i’ve had in all my 3 years of being in dallas and even tho i showed up after their kitchen had closed for the night i sat down for a beer to get a feel for the place an i was not disappointed. the employees were nothing but smiles and the manager was very polite and induced himself with every bit of genuine kindness. half way through my beer i was approached by a staff member with a tray of what looked like spanakopita to me and was very impressed with the unique flavors and contents of the filling! not only did i enjoy every bite but that sort of hospitality spoke volumes. 100% worth the try. most definitely will be back to really sample and discover the flavors of authentic African culture. I’ve heard nothing but great things about the people and genuine love out into every dish. all i can say is im very excited to explore their menu and get a true ethiopian experience!“

“This place is legit a gem. The food is ridiculously delicious. With my favorite Ethiopian spot shutting down last year, I’m so glad I found this place. This is definitely the best Ethiopian spot in Dallas that’s open. One of the best spots for African food. It’s a small mart with only a few tables!
I had the beyaynetu (vegetarian platter) and beef tibbs. The beef tibbs was so flavorful and tasty. The broth/liquid it sits in is amazing. Dipping injera in that was so good. The vegetarian platter was incredible. The different lentils and peas are cooked to perfection with delicious spice.
I also had shiro! It’s not on their display menu but they’ll make it for you. It’s a chickpea stew and great to dip injera in! The Ethiopian coffee was also really good.
Very friendly staff and service. During my meal, different staff members came up to me at different times individually to see how everything was going. I really appreciated that.
Please try this place if you haven’t! It’s proof that Ethiopian cuisine is one of the best cuisines you can experience. I will 100% be returning for a second visit.“

“Exceptional Ethiopian food. My grandparents lived in Jimma for fifteen years, and my grandmother learned how to cook while there. Abeba’s food sends me back to my youth.
On top of that, the portions are so generous! My partner and I can make daily split a dish and be happy! Can’t recommend the doro wet enough. And!! The doro wet came with two legs and two chicken legs. As the name implies, this is a to go place. However the two tables are a nice place to wait with comforting artwork.
TLDR: order here to be transported to Addis Ababa. Great portions, kind people, and incredible flavor!“

“Nice place, nice food.??“
“This was my first time ever eating at a store like this. It’s a very small grocery/ kitchen that cooks authentic Ethiopian food. Spices and scent was really strong but the food I tried was really good. They said it was lamb. This dish normally comes on some kind of bread but because I’m gluten free they were able to accommodate me with rice instead. I just thought $17 bucks was a bit much. But lamb is not a cheap piece of meat so I guess I’ll pay that price because I will be back.“

“The food is awesome! I ate two varieties and they are both top notch. If you want to a fast food, this the best. They didn't even take 10min to serve.
The customer service is awesome! Fikirte is welcoming and attentive.“

“At late night , I ordered the Meser wot and wanted it spicy, they sent me spicy sauces and also did give me lettuce as a side. The server ( I ordered on DoorDash but the one who picked up the phone was nice and understanding), so thank you Lalibela!!!“

“First time trying Ethiopian food! I have always wanted to try Injera bread and the veggies combo was delicious - my fave was the collar greens, the yellow potatoes, and the cabbage. My husband ordered the other plate and liked the soupy flavor but didn't think it was lamb, it was goat.“

“I was coming back from a ride and decided to try this restaurant as it was close to my home and new to me. This was the first time in years that I had had Ethiopian food. I’m telling you it was a great way to return.Their Geba Weta is a great dish. I’m sure all of the others are just as good. I’m going back for one of their lamb dishes, soon. The owners and staff are exceedingly welcoming, the dish I had was great and the atmosphere was inviting. ግሩም“
