“We were in on Christmas Eve. Short handed crew, crowded with customers. Alexis and (Butter)John along with the duty manager took care of us like we were the only people there! The kitchen did an excellent job on the steaks and the vegetables were perfect. Baked potato was as usual, ready to eat with plenty of butter, and hot. Got spoiled by these guys! Happy for sure.“

“1 - Excellent food…fried pickles appetizer gone in 60 seconds; burgers were awesome; tater tots add beyond yummy…and stay crispy enough for next day breakfast ( because they give you a portion that you WILL have another meal) 2 - Speedy, friendly customer service…very attentive staff….we tipped well over the standard 20% because it was so good! 3 - beautiful, lively atmosphere…air coolers for outdoor eating, which we chose despite the heat/humidity Most importantly, I was an out of tower and this was my last meal with local family before flying out the next morning. Dumb a** me left my wallet at the restaurant and didn’t realize until getting ready to leave for the airport at 0830. We stopped by the restaurant to see if it was still in the outdoor eating area…nope. Luckily, ran into the contractor doing some work…he called the owner, the owner confirmed it was in the office safe. After hearing I needed to make the AM flight to DFW for connection to home, he dispatched an employee to go in on a planned closed day to get my wallet. This kindness allowed me to make my flight…what he didn’t know is this act of kindness was critical because I had a new job in-person interview scheduled for the next day. Forever grateful. THAT is customer service. Thank you so much! Tells a lot about the culture and dedication to customers. Keep up the awesome work…I will be back. Promise to keep better accountability of my wallet!“

“Just happened to be traveling through Waco and decided to stop for some food and a drink; happened upon Barnett’s Whiskey House and I’m glad we did. “We LOVE Hokkaido! We especially enjoy it when we are under the weather. (Like a lot of us are right now). We find it is warm and satisfying. A couple of observations that may be worth taking note of: 1. Online ordering is hit and miss. The hours on the ordering website (chowbus) aren’t accurate and sometimes the add-ons or subtractions aren’t taken into account. 2. I noticed that some staff members park in the front. This wouldn’t concern me so much if it wasn’t for the handicapped patrons. Maybe I am missing something? Anyhoo, all in all, it is a great atmosphere and the food is absolutely delicious, and frankly, that’s why we go.“

“This place is very clean and modern design. The dining experience is nice. I ordered the steamed pork buns and the Mongolian beef at the recommendation of the waiter. I wasn't a big fan of the pork dumplings. It tasted like freezed pork buns you can buy at the grocery stores steamed. The Mongolian beef on the other hand was amazing. It had a great flavor that went well with the steamed rice. The fried noodles soaked up the sauce and made it amazing. I don't think it would be to good to get with fried rice or I feel it might be to salty. I would recommend the Mongolian beef and maybe next time I'll try the spicy beef noodle soup“

I got the Avocado bacon scramble, it was a hearty dish, I couldn't eat it all at about 90% of it. Husband got Ham Bacon and Cheese Skillet with hash browns; he ate about 90% of it; got too full. My mother got another skillet and was pleased with the taste of everything. My friend and her mother got Avocado Mash and the other got a pancake with an egg.
