“My cousin and I visited the Cafe this morning for breakfast. Our waiter - Phillip - was amazing! However, the food this time was a little disappointing. My cousin ate her grits and I had the Frech Toast. We also had bacon and potatoes. The bacon was not cooked the way we wanted. A new order was made, but still not satisfactory. And it was very salty. So we did not eat the bacon. Normally the food is outstanding but today's visit was a little off.“

“Took a little while to be seated, but once seated, the hostess and the waitress were very friendly and helpful. I ordered the Baja Turkey Burger and the Million Dollar Potatoes as a side. The burger was quite flavorful (where a lot of turkey burgers are bland) and the million dollar potatoes were delicious. The waitress suggested the potatoes since I was unfamiliar with the menu and it was a great recommendation. Paid at the table with my phone including tip, so no check out hassle. The food was a little pricey, but that seems to be common everywhere you go these days. Would eat here again.“

“In this economy, this is the place to go. By far the best priced meals you can find. Not a huge selection of stuff but that’s no big deal. Delicious food and great portions. Little to no wait time to get a table.

Since 2016, I’ve been hoping for a spot that checks all the boxes—great food, solid service, a chill atmosphere, and a menu that doesn’t force you to pick between taste and your cholesterol. To make sure it wasn’t a fluke, I ate there four times this week. You know, for research. It’s only 2 miles from my house, which is both a blessing and a threat to my wallet. The menu? Eclectic and actually healthy—real, flavorful options that don’t feel like you’re being punished for trying to eat clean. The vibe is modern and fresh, with a light “Couchman-style” house beat playing—loud enough to catch a groove, soft enough to hold a conversation. Although I don’t drink, they’ve got a fully stocked bar if you’re into that day-drinking lifestyle. Mimosas for the win, no judgment here. Shoutout to Maddie, who served me 2 of the 4 times I went. Young, friendly, and totally on point—she knew the menu, offered great recs, and made the whole experience even better. Service across the board was consistent. Also worth noting: the male servers all look like they could moonlight as personal trainers or possibly perform at LaBare. I’m not saying they do… I’m just saying they could. “I ordered an online lunch order and when I arrived it wasn't ready but I was a few mins early so I didn't mind waiting.They ended up running out the chicken I ordered so they let me sub an item. In addition, the manager who greeted me when I arrived refunded me my money, gave me a free drink, and let me know I was eligible for employee discounts. THIS is how you customer service!! I'll be using that discount a lot! He deserves an award“

“I can’t speak to the food. I only get coffee here. It is delicious. Book Club Cafe is great place to have a wind-down-cuppa. Quite and spacious yet somehow intimate. They roast the beans themselves. They do a great job. They make their own syrups themselves in house.
House coffee is very satisfying. For an extra 20p it’s bottomless so you can sit and drink all day … or until you go into a caffeinated coma.

“Great Food & Even Better Vibes!

The food at Waffle House was very good, but what really made the visit special was the morning crew. You could tell they had a great working relationship—there were smiles, small talk, and everyone was helping each other. The positive atmosphere was contagious!

Our server, Shontay, went above and beyond to check on us throughout breakfast, and when I had a little trouble with the jukebox machine, Burl jumped in without hesitation and helped me out with a smile and some friendly banter.

I truly appreciate establishments that foster this kind of energy and teamwork. I’ll definitely be back—and fingers crossed I get this same amazing crew again!“

I had their '2x2x2' from that menu - 2 pancakes, 2 eggs your style, and either 2 pork sausage links or 2 bacon strips. This was just right for me - not too much, not too little. Good stuff.“

“It's always good if you like IHOP. You get what you expect and what you go there for. My favorite French toast. You don't have to look at the menu if you don't want to, I don't, I make my own breakfast every time I go there and they've always made my eggs how I ask for them, soft and runny on hash browns“
