“I gotta say, I gave this lil spot a shot and it did not miss, 1st off let me say I love how the cooks are wearing a chefs uniform that make it feel some type of way a special feeling like that care about what they are cooking. I got the 3 taco plate lil pricey for a typical mexican spot on taco Tuesday but I know why when I ate my 1st bite I fell in love the rice and beans hit the spot with full of flavor just incredible. I drove 1 hour for a job and hit this spot and let me say its saved inn my Google maps as favorites they hit the spot for tacos, beans and rice and im not a rice guy“

“What a gem of a restaurant! From the moment my family and I walked in, we were pleased! We were greeted right away, and all commented on how the restaurant was so clean and colorful. Our food was made fresh and came out from the kitchen quickly! Extremely generous portions and well worth the money. Everything was so flavorful! Both of my twin sons said these were the best tacos they’ve ever had! We definitely will be back“

“I live in Tyler and will drive to the Dallas area and go out of my way to eat at Mama Vickys! the food is always amazing! Fresh and will burn your mouth! “The Mexican food here is absolutely incredible — rich in flavor, authentic, and made with so much care. Every dish tastes like it’s straight out of a family kitchen, from the perfectly seasoned tacos and tender carnitas to the homemade tortillas and vibrant salsas that bring everything to life. The spices are bold without being overwhelming, and the freshness of the ingredients really stands out. Whether it’s street-style tacos, fresh agua frescas , or a simple plate of rice and beans, every bite feels comforting and full of culture. As a white person, I fully approve — this food is the real deal!“

“Friendly cozy service, I stop by at least twice a week. The food if amazing tastes like mamas kitchen! My favorite if the burritos and the sopes! They’re always open early enough to stop by for the great breakfast tacos and still make it to work on time with their quick service! Because this place is so great you’ll run I’m to a line that they always handle in great speedy service! If I could give them six stars I would!“

“I searched for a pupusa place near me. I came to this establishment and I'm glad I did. This is my first visit. The customer service was great and the owner was patient with me and explained some of the items on the menu. I tried the chicharron taco and pupusa. I chose to dine in. My food was served hot and it was delicious!!

“Plano Babes in Business had the most amazing time supporting local owner Tim at Burnt Barbecue and Tacos!🔥🌮 The food was absolutely delicious — we especially loved the potato salad made from his grandmother’s recipe. How cool is that? Tim shared that summer tends to be a bit slower with everyone busy, so we were extra glad to be there today to support him and his awesome team. It’s a great reminder that we can all make a difference by showing up for our local businesses. That’s exactly what we got to do today, and we feel so blessed for the opportunity. 🙌 Thank you, Tim, for the amazing food and hospitality. “My order was to go. From the moment I walked in Luke behind the counter greeted me and let me know that if I had questions that I should ask him, which I did. “This is our go to burger spot in Rockwall.
Typically get the Cowboy burger and the wife gets the charlies burger.
We get fries and onion rings to share, the rings are tasty and crisp.
We always get the fried pickles and jalapeños, our favorite appetizer.
We mostly order take out but the Resturant has a cool vibe and we like to dine in when we have time.
Typically fast service.“

“Don't be fooled by Taqueria Charly's unassuming gas station storefront, because they serve some of the best traditional mexican style street food in DFW. They have all the classic offerings, and they are all delicious. Very tasty salsa verde and salsa rojas as well!“

“We've been here a few times and each time, Maria greets us with a smile, gives great recommendations, and delivers great service! This last time, I had the sopes, cecina and chorizo. Delicious! My husband had the flautas and he enjoyed them! Their horchata and jamaica aguas frescas are delicious too! Quieter place than others, cleaner than others, and you get to satisfy your crave for Mexican food! We'll be back!“

“We have gotten food here many times and we finally tried dining in. We were greeted right away. We ordered the Burrito Barbacoa and Burrito Carne Asada. Both were made perfectly. They have a green and red salsa. The green is mild and the red is spicy. Both taste great. The people behind the counter are very friendly and helpful. This place is open only from 7am to 6pm M-F and 7am to 4pm on Saturday and 7am to 3pm on Sunday. They are located inside a gas station. They do not have any drinks other than Horchata and Cantaloupe drinks. If you want a soda or bottle water you will need to go to the gas station side and buy the drink. Very good food and great people we will continue to frequent this place.“

“Amazing tacos! I got the spicy pork and the chicken, both were well seasoned, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. I'd happily come here regularly if I wasn't just in town for the holidays.
Additionally, one of the best churros I've ever had outside of Mexico - It was big, soft and pillowy, and SO tasty. There's also like a dulce de leche sauce inside that's just perfect.
Service was fast and friendly and the prices are very reasonable.
Fair warning that it's in a gas station, so it's probably not the spot to take the family out for a sit down meal (although they do have a few tables). Having said that, I can't recommend enough!“

“I ordered the food on DoorDash before. Today I decided to pull up an order my favorite beef torta and fries to my surprise it was inside of a gas station. Now eating there already I knew the food was good but now I wanted to see what I was dealing with. Again I was shocked the store was clean. The walls had new Price signs on them and the floor was mopped and smelled clean. As they should , the kitchen was clean and the store was well kept you have to pay at the front counter in order to receive your food and you hand the receipt to a young lady behind the counter and they prepare greatness It is a must try

“The Birria Tacos were perfect. Most places think birria= too much cheese greasy mess. These tacos were perfectly filled with tender beef and cheese, grilled perfectly in a consume dipped tortilla. Managed to dip my taco three times and it never fell apart, thats right I double dip and I’m not sorry. Onions , cilantro, salsa, were all fresh. Even the lime slices were big and fresh, i didn’t need a vice to get juice out of them. Will definitely be visiting again to try the rest of the menu!“

“Hidden gem! Joyful staff, different options aside from the usual ( sopes, tortas, breakfast tacos, hot dog, burger), and they got 4 different kinds of salsas. I got a tacos platter of all the meats and the Birria was my fav, all the tacos were delicious.They close at 4pm currently so get it early.Closed on Sundays.“

“Good cheap tacos. I didn't check out anything else on the menu unfortunately, but the lady is very quick. The tacos have a lot of flavor. They do what some places don't offer which is sauteed onions and grilled jalapenos. Tacos were dirt cheap for what you get ($1 plus tax), and the meat was very tender and tasted fresh. We got chicken, and fajita. I do want to make one comment, but wasn't a deal breaker by any means. We received more onions then we did cilantro on the side. Other than that. It was great.“
