“Amazing prices! The coffee is good and fairly priced (: The food is also really good and nice to have some healthy on the go options. The workers have always been very kind and polite. This location is the only one I've had this experience with though, so kudos to these workers!“

“First visit to 1418 and I was treated like a friend. The cappuccino was fantastic….and consistent during my three visits over the weekend. The bacon and cheddar scone was delicious. Some people like their scones hard. I’m not one of those people. The 1418 scone was soft, rich and really good.“

“Last night's Date Night with a Hottie led us to another East Dallas fave, El Vecino Tex Mex. Greeting us at the door was owner, John McBride, and his place was hoppin'!!! My better half and I bellied up to the bar as we waited just a few minutes for our table. I enjoyed a Maker's Mark Old Fashioned, and Sonia, a Pacifico. Immediately after being seated Edgar was quick to serve. We ordered chips and a massive guacamole as an appetizer. Then we shared sizzlin' steak fajitas. So good! I ordered another OF, while Sonia shifted to a Margarita on the Rocks that hit the spot. The Rita is El Vecino's offering during this summer's Greater East Dallas Chamber of Commerce Cocktail Passport program. So thankful for their participation. John and the EV family have been fantastic chamber members. Anyhow, John was running around, working the room, prepping tables and supporting staff. I love seeing business owners hustle, and he sure does that. If you find yourself in East Dallas, looking to grab a bite, head on over to El Vecino. #ElVecino #smallbiz #eastdallas #eastdallaschamber“

“Tucked away from the main strip of garland rd, and even Shiloh rd, exists a lunch spot that's an oasis among the taquerias and industrial businesses. Walking in, I saw this place mostly specializes in their fresh baked bread. You can buy whole loaves of bread, and they even put out samples of the focaccia. The sample of focaccia bread was absolutely Divine. Spongy like a focaccia should be, with fresh olives baked on top, Right amount of olive oil in the mix. I ended up ordering a breakfast sandwich, and I was not disappointed. Some vegetables, the bread is truly the crown Jewel of the meal. Fluffy soft inside, Father toasted crackly outside. The chipotle sauce they use is out of this world! It's clearly made in house, and it has this bright lemony flavor that never fades. They don't add that much meat in this breakfast sandwich, but for $7, it's hard to complain. I came back an hour later because I couldn't stop thinking about the focaccia bread! It was just as good as the sample I had, except with more olives!! Because I was in the mood for dessert, I also ordered the oatmeal cranberry cookie. I had a feeling they made it in house, so I figured it was going to be pretty good. Pretty good is an understatement. I will gladly come back when in the area and when they're open!“

I got the Mexican Skillet and it was delicious. My wife goes the crapes and the pancakes were good as well.My daughter loves the owner as she is nice and comes and says hi to everyone. This is a family friendly place. It is a bit on the high side price wise but the amount of food and super friendly staff make up for that.“

“Promised to come back for another meal since the first visit ended in being disappointed due to limpy fries and a dry burger. So 2nd visit was guarded. Ordering here is a pain. Everyone wants something different so it slows the ordering process to a snail crawl. Ordered a Monster Burger. Dry. Fries are not crisp at all, they are as limp as before. What's with limp fries? Meat is tasteless. The need to go to Culver's to compare what a burger should taste like. My wife had a Hotdogs. It was very good but again limp fries. On a scale of 5 and 5 bring superb..we would rate our meal as a 2 and it's our last visit. I will stick with Culver's and Boots Burgers for burgers.“

“As someone who has gone to several afternoon teas, here’s what we really enjoyed:1. Service was great. I loved how polite and friendly our waitress was. She explained what tea we were being served and what each tier had. A true afternoon tea service experience.2. The price point. Price was $45 per person( one of the more affordable teas in the area). A fair price given the amount of food but also factoring in that you’re not paying for location. The restaurant is casual, but nice.3. Food was good, not everything was my favorite but that’s totally ok. I enjoyed trying new things- it’s part of the experience! Our favorites were chicken satay sandwich, curry puffs, cranberry & white chocolate scone, macaroons, and mango mousse cake. I wish they would replace one of the other options with another sweet dessert. The desserts I listed were so good!I’ll be keeping an eye out when there’s a menu change, I’m interested in what they come up with next!“

“We haven't tried Zanata's in 6 yrs Last time we were there wasn't a great experience. But, with that being said THEY have redeemed themselves. Arrived around 5:30p on a Wed night No wait at all. The atmosphere has changed, looks larger than we remembered. Probably from the exit of Fatted Calf location they expanded. The server was very attentive and made sure we knew about specials. Along with a glass of Moscato, and Ultra we started with an appetizer. We ordered the bruschetta platter.Came with three pieces with varied ingredients. The bacon grape jam was our favorite. And the leafy greens came with a tomato sauce dressing. It was so favorable. We got more to go with our entrees. Hubby got Italian Chicken Alfredo with fresh asparagus. I got the Wood fired chicken pizza. Both were cooked to perfection. We ended the dinner with a flourless chocolate cake, with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on side. When I tell you it melted in your mouth, it definitely melts in your mouth. We were so impressed on the changes. Keep up the great service and the amazing food. We WILL be back!“

“Absolutely amazing!!! The owner, Bill (I believe), was the sweetest. We told him we were traveling to Greece in a few months and he went out of his way to sit down to gave us all his knowledge for the best trip. He even went to the back and printed off taxi information for us!Not to mention the food. Absolutely delicious!! The Dolmas was particularly incredible. My fiancé and I sat there the whole time not believing how amazing it was.“

“Best Mofongo in DFW area! The Latin Pig serves up the best Mofongo in the DFW area. Do not sleep on this place. We moved to Texas from Miami and have been on the hunt for a good Mofongo and this place is it. We had the Lechón con Mofongo, Carne Frita con Mofongo, chicharrones with tostones and the kids lechón plates with Gandules. Everything was fresh and so good. The Mongo was just right, not dry, generously stuffed with meat (of your choice), the tostones were extra crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, the mojo garlic sauce and caldo were delicious. We left with happy hearts and bellies and will be back often…making the trek from Grapevine!“

“As a first-timer at Vegan Heat, I was blown away by the taste I experienced. I tried their fried catfish and a few other dishes, and they were all amazing. The fried catfish was especially surprising—with a perfect crispy texture and delicious seasoning. The other dishes I tried were also really good, with bold flavors that kept me wanting more. What truly stood out was the genuine care and hospitality from the owner Renee. She was soo very nice I loved her warmth and enthusiastic personalityOverall, my first visit to Vegan Heat was a big win. I'll definitely be back for more of her tasty plant-based dishes!“

“Came on Friday around 6pm, wasn't busy yet, we got seated right away. Menu is pretty extensive with lots to choose from. For appetizers, we ordered the bao buns. Each bun is super soft with a thick slice of pork belly marinated in bulgogi sauce. My husband ordered the Thai pineapple fried rice, he loved it. It's served in a pineapple with fresh chunks of pineapple mixed into the dish. I ordered the ramen with shrimp, broth isn't salty like most ramen places, it balances nicely with the other ingredients in the ramen. The shrimp are lightly coated with tempura (I think?) and they inlcude plenty of pieces in the ramen. We also got the New York Rolls, very delish & generously filled with seafood. My one complaint was the disinterested answer that Sandy gave when my husband asked which would she recommend- Thai pineapple fried rice or Japanese fried rice- she snapped a bit and answered a very curt " I don't know what you like! If you like pineapple get the Thai if you don't like pineapple, get the other one!" It didn't really answer the question of which one she recommends or thinks is better...if she had not tried either dish & can't give a good recommendation, she could've answered that way. The snippy response with mild attitude seemed uncalled for...overall, great food, fast service, would come back again...don't ask recommendations from Sandy...“

“Decent, small Japanese bistro. Service is attentive and the food is always exactly what I expect. Nice collection of eclectic wall art, always interesting to look at. Limited seating so be aware they might be full during busier times. I'm not a sushi guy, so unable to make those recommendations.“

“So we went to Rodeo Goat for a few drinks before dinner. I asked our bartender, Anna, for an extra sweet bourbon Manhattan on the rocks. This is probably not a common order. She was gone for quite a while and I said to my husband, "She probably had to look up how to make it." Well, she did and it was outstanding. I wish more bartenders would do this!! I have been to numerous upscale restaurants in the area and, honestly, this is the best drink I have ever had. Anna was a delightful, professional bartender and a credit to Rodeo Goat. We will be back. Thanks , Anna, for caring for what you do. Wish we could spread that across the universe. :)“

“Excellent and authentic Punjabi restaurant in the town. I was very glad to have the food without onion and garlic as requested. The owner was able to provide some other options for the large menu without onions and garlic even there were so busy. Definitely will come again and again. Paneer biryani was too good which was also the star dish for us from the menu which we tried. One personal recommendation would be if they have some more kids options.“

“We recently had the pleasure of dining at Sofra Kebab House on a cold, rainy Saturday. The owner and chef, Ray, who is from Kars in eastern Turkey greeted us and explained the dishes on the buffet. We were blown away by the flavors and authenticity of the food. We lived in Turkey for 7 years and it made us homesick. This was absolutely the best Turkish food we’ve had since moving back to the states. Some of our favorites included the grilled Adana Kebab, stuffed grape leaves, pita bread, kale salad, soup and…well we could go on and on.Ray is proud of his food and business and rightfully so. We were able to spend a little time visiting with him and although we didn’t solve any of the world’s problems, we certainly were on the same page.Great food, conversation and we made a friend! We’ll definitely be back.“

“My family came in, not knowing any of the flavors, but the employees were very helpful. My sister tried out a few different flavors. I, personally, had to go with the cookie dough ice-cream. My brother very much so enjoyed the mint chocolate flavor. The place was clean and very inviting. All, and all, if you are close. I would recommend stopping by.Parking: The parking was available. I would recommend not going during the dinner rush, because people are going to the nearby restaurants.“
