This is more of an upscale Mexican restaurant, but also more for the gringo and gringo tastes. I enjoyed it, but prefer more authentic Mexican restaurants, even if they're a hole in the wall. The food still tastes good and the server was friendly. The wait for food was very acceptable.
I have been to San Angelo a thousand times each of my adult years(which is a lot) and I can’t understand why I have never tried this place until now.This is very good food. Fresh, hot and fast , I couldn’t believe how authentic it was.The hot sauce had a good “bite to it”, the beans had great flavor and the enchilada sauce was as authentic as it comes. If you haven’t been out there since the remodel, you have got to check it out. Really nice bar, great service, and the food is amazing! If you’re downtown, you definitely need to stop in and try it.This time I got the Fuentes Special, which is like a steak Ranchero with all the right stuff. Check it out!
