12 Best Tex-Mex Restaurants in San Angelo

“It's the best in town. The owner is a jewel.“

“Great food…great environment“

“Hands down the best burritos — and the asado is my forever favorite. Perfectly seasoned, tender, juicy, and wrapped in tortillas that taste like they were made with love (because they are). Let’s talk about those tortillas though… soft, fresh, warm, and next-level good. The kind that make you pause mid-bite. Breakfast? Yes. Sunday craving? Absolutely. Random weekday “I deserve this” meal? 100%. Simple, authentic, and consistently delicious. I’ll be back every time. 🌮🔥“

“The Best Steak I have had in a long time. Nothing super fancy but the food is amazing. The Staff was attentive and very polite. There was a 10 minute wait for a table to open up. We hit in the middle of the Lunch crowd so the bathrooms were a little overused. Wonder experience overall and we will be going back Often!!“

“it's the best Mexican food. N American food in san Angelo I give this cafe a 5 stars , so friends n all go by n eat the BEST IN THE WEST. FUENTES CAFE“

“We had lunch on a Sunday and it was really great. Our server Eve was the best! We have been looking for a great Mexican place for a change. It is definitely wonderful and we will be back!“

“I can't describe how good the service and food is. My fiance and I just left her chemotherapy sesion, and were pretty beat down, and hungry. Cindy looked after my fiance and I with prompt, kind, and courteous service. She is truely awesome. The food was lip smack'n good with portions we haven't seen in a very long time. We had the beef (3) enchiladas meals, with tortilla sides as well as tea, and sprite to drink. We left feeling quite porkulous with smiles on our faces for sure. Our visit made for a very bright point for us for such a crappy day. As far as ratings go, Hidalgo's West is a 6 out of 5. We'll be back for sure, bet on it. And Cindy? Your aces dear!“

“Ordered from them today and was so disappointed after I had heard good things! Cold food, some of my order missing and portion for two is a joke! Hopefully just an off day but geezzzzz! Very disappointed!“

“I am, surprisingly, repeatedly pleased with this place. We usually get seated quickly and with friendly service. The food is always good. Prices aren't much more than going to fast food these days. I can't say anything bad at all.“

“Everything was amazing but one of the staff members stood out the most she is so helpful and patient and does a wonderful job always busy busy doing something needed. I appreciate the customer service today!!! Nevaeh was Wonderful 😊 Thank you.“
