Close enough to downtown but with very reasonable prices. Best of both worlds! Lots of parking, water available for self service, gorgeous cocktails and experienced mixologists. Always an opportunity to try something new. Loved the Cinco de Mayo special addition to the menu!!! This is my #1 spot!“

“Idle has a great atmosphere, the bartenders are very friendly and always know what regular customers want. The location is in an excellent spot on Brooklyn Ave downtown. Idle is great place for people to meet new people and have conversations with others after work. If you are looking for a family and dog friendly place to relax with a good selection of drinks and a fun Happy Hour, Idle is where you want to be!!! They also do private events for clients and can easily help organize them!“

“Staying at the Hilton Garden Inn down the street an was looking for someplace easy to get to to have some food. Glad we tried this place ( though I was a little unsure of it as the other side of the building is a poker house) . When we walked in several tables were occupied and looked like they had some tasty food. Hubby chose the bacon turkey avocado sandwich with fries. I saw they had bruschetta as well as a Caprice salad. I wanted the grilled tomato cheese sandwich but add the basil and balsamic. They were willing to oblige me, I can tell you that sandwich was AMAZING! The tomato was grilled as well as having caramelized onions. Such a refreshing summer sandwich. Hubby said that his sandwich was tasty as well. Talking to the waitress she had mentioned that they were just starting to establish the resteraunt side of the business I noted that's why there were only 4 reviews so far. If you would like some tasty food give this place a chance as I think you will be pleasantly surprised. (Even if you don't play poker, the resteraunt side of the building is worth a stop for a great meal! ). Also thanks for the recommendations on what to see & do in the area. “You can still smoke your cigarettes and cigars . It's quiet ,they have karaoke Friday and Saturdays ..LMAO very interesting . It's like a small town saloon feeling. They have screens to watch your fav.sports,dart board ,two pool tables or is it three ?. Nice state of the art juke box . Plenty of seats ,just a good place to go have a beer or two coming in from San Antonio and heading back way south . Also a good place to start a few drinks before going into San Antonio . And there is Hilltop bingo right next door . Wow , smoking,a bar ,and some gambling old school paper bingo . Lots of opportunities to win and then go have some drinks next door @spur 122 ,chat some more ,get some laughs with people you never met before .

It is very special to be around people who genuinely love what they do and that is apparent from the minute Doc Watkins and the band step on the stage.
