My family ate at the original La Fonda Oak Hills when I was growing up.My mom and I tried Maria Bonita and were really pleased.First, MB kept most of the MCM décor.The food and the staff are outstanding.MB's is now my go-to restaurant for Tex-Mex.This place is a gem.
Maria Bonita was an awesome experience. The place was recently renovated. Looks nicer in the dining room. They brightened it up and it adds that nice element when dining inside. When it was La Fonda, the dining room was darker. We came for Brunch and the food and service was awesome. The brunch menu was quite different from what I was expecting , but in a good way.
