Great wine spot! All the wines are made with flowers, not grapes. No added sugars, no headaches. Me and my friend walked past and Brian offered us a free tasting. All of the wines are so good! It was hard to choose which bottle we wanted to buy. We bought one bottle each and a cup of the frozen wine to go. They definitely are a hidden gem and it's such a shame that the construction on Houston is obscuring the view of their store front. They definitely should have more business....read full review

Florvino Flower Winery offers a delightful floral wine experience just off Alamo Plaza within Hotel Gibbs. Guests enjoy a wonderful six-part tasting of floral wines, where the bartender provides pairing recommendations. These wines are exceptional for wine aficionados looking to expand their palettes and casuals seeking an alternative to pubs. The wine list is incredible, with delicious options including sweeter wines like Peaches, Wild Rosy, and Yeehaa (a sangria of every floral wine), as well as Jasmine, Glory, Dande, and the cocktail Summer Snow. The host is excellent, amazing, extremely friendly, respectful, and knowledgeable about the selection, making the wine testing absolutely fun. Guests have ordered the main charcuterie platter, a mix of creamy and peppery cheeses, multiple slices of cured meats, chocolate covered almonds, salty olives, dates and figs, plus cheese charcuterie and bread with olive oil. Whether a local rediscovering the Alamo Plaza or an out-of-towner exploring something different, this is a well-rounded spot. Highly recommended are the Yeehaa and the DANDE wine.
