I ordered the roasted chicken and mashed potatoes, plus a little au jus. I have to say, it was the most tender and juicy piece of chicken I've had in a very long while. The bar menu is really nice too. The yellow rose martini will curl your toes.
Happy hour was great here. Typical hotel lobby bar with some great happy hour deals. I had a few draft beers, a pour of Bookers bourbon and a Makers and Coke.
Only one bartender so they seemed somewhat understaffed but they did the best they could. Drink prices were reasonable and the draft beers were fantastic. Good price on the Bookers bourbon.

The food was okay. I was hoping for a more upscale experience at this hotel restaurant. The service and people were great.

Located in the lobby of the historic Emily Morgan Hotel by Doubletree, next to the Alamo, Oro | Restaurant & Bar offers great food and a great selection of food. The burger was great, and the fried chicken breast burger was very satisfying. The chicken tortilla soup was so so good. The Yellow Rose Martini was very good, even better than expected. The Caesar salad had a unique ancho Caesar dressing that was really good. Happy hour was great here with some great happy hour deals. Draft beers were fantastic, and the Bookers bourbon had a good price. However, the service was inconsistent. One bartender seemed understaffed but did their best. The breakfast buffet was good, but the waitstaff forgot to put in a waffle order. Another room service burger was overcooked, though the fries were good. The server was friendly when around but would disappear for really long chunks of time. The food was good, but the service made some not want to come back.
