Maiz Azteca is a cozy and classic Mexican restaurant in San Antonio. The queso fundido topped with assorted meat and complimentary chips with salsa and refried beans were a hit. The chicken milanesa and chicken enchiladas were delicious, but the cecina was lacking. The service started well but slowed down as it got busier. The tastefully decorated restaurant offers outdoor seating and is BYOB. The sauces and dishes are flavorful and the staff is friendly and helpful with selections. Definitely worth a visit for a tasty and enjoyable Mexican meal in Stone Oak.
