We came here during our stay at La Cantera. Wait staff was great. Chips and hot sauce were extra which I thought was crazy at a Mexican restaurant and then I couldn't even eat it because it was so hot. We ordered combo fajitas for one and the portions was very generous and plenty for 2 people. It's was tasty and queso was delicious.
Food was good. Nice place and not very busy when we were there. Service was slow and not very welcoming. She looked like she was having a bad evening and did not want to be there. Nothing too bad just not welcoming like most of the service at the resort.
Service was great, food was pretty bad. Can beans, can rice, frozen fajitas and bad margaritas.

While some note the chips and salsa aren’t free, they’re still good. The burger with chipotle BBQ sauce and stuffed pepper is a unique favorite. Brisket tacos and green chicken enchiladas were delicious. Some customers did not like the steak in the nachos or quesadillas but would do chicken. The Cobb salad was different in flavor, and the steak was OK. The cheese quesadilla was also okay. The passion fruit margarita was very sour. Service is attentive, though occasional issues like flies or slow attention are mentioned. Parking costs $10 due to the resort location. Overall, Primero Cantina provides good food, drinks, and service, making it a worthwhile option for those staying at the resort.
