“As a Mexican American this place has the best PAN DULCE! My favorites are the EMPANADAS DE CALABAZA. This place is a must for Mexican pastry lovers. Great prices, service and atmosphere! Not really a problem with parking unless u linger. Some customers don't know how to park though and there is the occasional menso.“

“Superb customer service and excellent hot portions served very quickly. This location is very clean and well kept. The only issue we had was the Sweet Tea, it tastes like they used garden hose water to make it. I would suggest they invest in a good water filtration system. I love the slushie ice. Thanks for the great service.“

“I had the Mexican supreme it was very good with plenty of food. I rate it at 4/5, the enchiladas were perfect, I added a small amount of salt to the rice. The tostada was soft due to being placed directly on the rice. If I order this meal next time I'll request for the tostada to be set on another plate to maintain its crispiness. The total was $24.47“

“It feels like family when we're there. Never disappointed. Food is awesome; the ladies and Jerry and Elias are super. The owner Willie is present and I love that he goes around greeting everyone. They are always so friendly and kind to all and they have a positive attitude which makes the atmosphere there welcoming. We tell all our friends about this place.

“Great Border Town BBQ with One Minor Letdown
This was a highly satisfying visit! During a quick stop in this sleepy, historic border town, I knew I had to get some authentic Texas BBQ, and SMOKE absolutely delivered on that promise.I initially wanted to try the beef ribs, but even though it was only around 3:00 PM when I visited, they were already sold out. Instead, I opted for the moist brisket. Since it was late afternoon, there was no line, so ordering and receiving my food was a breeze.
The brisket was exactly as advertised: moist, perfectly marbled with fat, and incredibly tender. I thoroughly enjoyed every bite of that half-pound. I was in a rush to catch a flight and had to eat much faster than I wanted to, but it was still a fantastic meal. Hopefully, I can return in the future to taste those ribs.
The only element that fell short of expectations was the hot sauce selection. When I asked for hot sauce, I was given a handful of packaged Tabasco packets. I could only stomach one packet and ended up returning the rest. For such a highly regarded BBQ institution, this was a major letdown. A place of this caliber should really be crafting its own signature house hot sauce, or at the very least, offering a higher-quality commercial option.“

“I have loved the Chicken Potpie since coming to Cheddars to eat. I've had at least 6 of them and then the one I had last summer had no chicken in it. I said nothing to anyone, just deciding to not come back for a while. We stopped there with two other couples today and I thought...try it again. Before they used to have lots of white chicken chunks, this one today had very few pieces of chicken. What has happened to it?“

“We tried this place for the first time and did their carry out option. It was super easy to order online and the food was ready when the site said it would be. We ordered a jalapeño wrap, a half tuna sandwich, a half chicken salad sandwich, and a nutty salad. Overall, the food was good but I think next time we will dine in and try something else on the menu. We were satisfied with the sandwiches and wraps but the salad wasn't anything to write home about. The interior of the restaurant looked super cute with a cozy vibe. I look forward to trying them again.“

“I highly recommend this place to eat. The brisket is so flavorful and fresh. We order the botana for 2, it could feed 3-4. We had nothing to take in a to go box! The drinks are also good and they have AWESOME sweet tea. I wish I found this place sooner.“

“Los Asados is a must-visit if you’re in Harlingen. The food is absolutely packed with flavor—perfectly seasoned, cooked just right, and consistently delicious every time. You can tell everything is made fresh, and the quality really stands out. The portions are generous, and the service is just as solid—friendly, fast, and welcoming. The whole place has a great vibe that makes you want to come back again. Easily one of my go-to spots. Highly recommend!“

“I always have a good time here and the food is so so good. You can’t go wrong with the teppankayi, but my favorite dishes are the general tsao chicken, magnolian beef, and for sushi rolls my favs are: geisha, butter yellow tail, samurai fiesta, kiss of fire and red dragon roll! There’s half off sushi rolls every weekend and lunch specials during the week too so that’s a plus :)“

“My first and last visit to this restaurant. Tacos were too small and expensive. Tortilla was soggy and undercooked, the eggs were also a little raw with no flavor and the salsa was just tomato sauce. Never eat here again. Stripes tacos are bigger, less expensive and better flavor“

“Stopped by this morning on our way to the airport to hopefully sneak a quick look at the long horns. Upon arrival we could see them off in the distance. Within a few seconds a very nice man came out to see if we needed anything, after I explained our situation he went above and beyond to get the animals to come closer by feeding them early. He spent a good 15 minutes with us fully knowing that on this trip we did not have time to patronize his business. Customer service at its best, we will be back and we will dine there!
