“It was our first time at the restaurant. It came highly recommended by friends.It was a bright, happy atmosphere, very clean and modern.Wheelchair accessibility: Nice wide entrance. Handicap parking is right at the front door. Aisle between tables were spacious enough for wheelchairs.“

“The food was good . The beans were super good and the tacos were a little dry but with that good onion it helped it . Also the food came extremely fast like only took 7 minutes and we had 6 orders. It was nice their it was hot but the waiters were super nice . Also the bill came to 12.89 and we got 6 orders of tacos and 6 diet cokes.Kid-friendliness: They are friendly“

“Fernando was the absolute best!! He took care of us and made sure we had a great night. The live music was a huge plus. We do not drink alcohol, but I was pleasantly surprised by how awesome their non alcoholic drink menu was. We both got steak dishes that were cooked to perfection. “Came out here to Delia's tamales after a family reunion in San Juan and let me tell you, I got my tamale and menudo fix for sure. It was a Sunday on our way back home and had to stop to get tamales. Establishment is super busy, a long line at the drive thru, so we park and decide to go in to sit down and eat. Parking was available. We wait a little and make our way in. There is sufficient room, tables and booths are available. Food listings are up overhead at the registers where you can look up and see what you want. You get in line to place your order. We wanted to try a little of everything. We order the chicken, pork, and jalapeño and cheese tamales. I ordered a bowl of menudo. The tamales were on point. Very warm, fresh, and the tamale would slide right on off the husk with all of it still in tact, respectfully. The flavors were amazing. Great tasting authentic flavors. Just the right amount of masa and packed with the fillings to perfection. The menudo was also so tasty and with that homemade taste so close to how your mama would make it. They bring you your order and it did not take very long. Bottled drinks were served. You should come out and try this place if you ever come out this way to deep south Texas whether you are visiting te San Juan church or headed out to South Padre Island. I would of given this place a five but I am spoiled most of the times and I don't like to get in line to order. I'd prefer to have my menu at the table and place my order. Other than that, the best tamales and menudo ever.“

“Arturo’s in Progreso is my favorite place to eat! I had not been to the Weslaco location because I’d heard it wasn’t was good. That was really bad information because the food was every bit as good! The margaritas were delightful! The only complaint I had was the queso wasn’t the best. I prefer white queso and should have asked before I ordered it. Otherwise I will definitely be back!“

“This place honestly doesn't look like how good it is, the place looks simple, the atmosphere is good and humble.The flavor is extraordinary.Some very good beans are included with the combos.The fries come with salt, they are soft, very good flavor too.I ordered a very delicious synchronized steak.Tortilla large enough for a well-eaten person accompanied with beans and lettuce inside the synchronized.The cokes are very cold from a can.The place has a calm atmosphere with a television.It also has tables outside.Kid-friendliness: The hotdog for children is a very good option.“

“Pretty good .A whole fish and a plate of 3 pieces of pork rinds and 3 pieces of shrimp with potatoes and 2 soft drinks were approximately 40 dollars.The shrimp and fish crackling don't have as much flavor.The whole fish was pretty good.The consumption they give at the beginning is very good, as is the rice ? the most delicious thing was the white rice and the consumption ❤️“

“The food was hot and freshly made. Some plates are served on a metal pan (shown in one of the pictures), and some were served on paper plates(also shown in the picture), but I didn't mind. The staff was very helpful explaining the difference in plates and very even on sharing some of their recommendations. I Loved the beans they were so good!!“

I ordered the mushroom Swiss burger and my husband had the John Wayne burger. Both tasted amazing!
