“My husband and I had Brunch at The Backyard for the second time recently and it once again did not disappoint. We have definitely made it our new spot! The service is sooo kind and friendly. The food is SOOO amazing. The drinks are fresh and well sized. We also had the pleasure of meeting the owners Chris & Shelby on our first visit. They are definitely what you look for in an establishment. I highly recommend Sunday funday brunch here! Even if you brunch with the family. Great spot! Great people!“

“Our family was in the area, super close to Kema boardwalk and NASA. The Philly cheesteak was eeexcleeent!! The beef was juicy and crispy and the perfect amount of melted cheese. So good

My other favorite were the chicken wings and popcorn shrimp. I saw a lot of people ordering pizzas, will get that next time

“Love Cabo! However our experience today was off. We ordered drinks and at bar and then got a table outside to order food, and the waitress refused to serve us, stating TABC rules, but we weren’t ordering drinks from her, we are really good customers and tip really well. I’ve never had that happen and have always had good service there. Maybe a new inexperienced waitress, worried we weren’t going to tip her? Or maybe I didn’t know you couldn’t a have drink tab at the bar and order food at a table separately? I’ve worked, waitressed , in the food industry so this was new to me.“

“Marais was wonderful! My CuzzoBestieSisteriend was in town from California. I wanted to try a new spot and have some bestie time! I selected the perfect spot!! MARAIS!!! Walking up to the venue, jazz music was playing. This put me in my happy zone immediately!! It set the mood right out the gate. We were seated with no wait. We made a reservation. Nick was our server. He was very personable. Top notch table maintenance and follow-up! Now, let's talk about the delicious food! We had the $40 brunch buffet. We felt it was as worth it! I tried the following: gumbo, bacon, sausage, hash potatoes, chicken & waffles, fried fish, greens, smoked salmon, boiled shrimp, grits..,,whewwww! I didn't get to enjoy the omelet station or the carving station. More reason to return...AND WE WILL! We washed it down with mimosas with OJ and PJ! Tasty tasty. We couldn't believe a full bottle of was only $10. I was expecting a champagne split not bottle! There is a bar area right off of the buffet lines. The bar has swings!! Like “when you were a kid” swings!! Also, there is patio seating too! Live jazz music was playing the entire time we were there! Again, another reason to return!! Great experience all the way around! “Yesterday was our first time dining at Main 101. We've been wanting to go for a couple of years, yes years! We are so glad we did. The food was phenomenal & service was great. My only suggestion is to change the decor in the restaurant. The way the food tastes, this deserves to look like a fine dining restaurant. I booked a birthday dinner for my boyfriend and the owner called me personally and spoke with me and made sure that she decorated our table personally and even got us a private room (which I had no idea was going to happen)! When we arrived, there were beautiful balloons, candles and a stunning room filled with low lights and music. Her husband even came in to make sure everything was to our liking and the waitress (Chloe) was outstanding! I cannot say how wonderful each and every person was that night and how great the food was as well. We will for sure be regular customers at this restaurant for years to come! “I can’t say enough great things about our experience with Emily, the bartender at Scotty’s Pub! From the moment we sat down, she made us feel welcomed and genuinely taken care of. Her warm energy and professionalism stood out immediately, and it set the tone for the entire night.

Emily was incredibly attentive without ever being overbearing. She anticipated what we needed before we even asked—whether it was a drink refill, a menu recommendation, or just a friendly check-in. Her knowledge of the drink menu was impressive, and she crafted each cocktail with care and precision. You could tell she takes pride in what she does.

“I highly recommend this Café. I ordered to go as I’m leaving state after breakfast, but the girl that helped me carry my drinks out was super sweet. Not being from Texas I was curious about everything on the land and she was very informative (I should’ve gotten her name). I ordered the Sycamore 2s which was 2 pancakes (choice of 1/2 waffle or 2 slices French toast), 2 eggs, and 2 pieces of bacon (choice of sausage also). I got my son an order of French toast, and a friend the brunch burger. Everything was AMAZING. The server mentioned Mondays they have a mimosa special (she told me exactly but I forget it). I like over medium eggs and this is the first place I’ve been that’s gotten my eggs PERFECT the first time around. It’s an adorable little café and there’s a wedding venue in the back. I highly recommend trying their food if you haven’t before. I took photos but it won’t let me add them to my review.“

“We walked into Sudie’s after a funeral, completely unannounced with a large party of 40 people. The management team went above and beyond to accommodate us. Coya, our only waitress, didn’t bat an eye. She was amazing and worked extremely hard to take care of all of us. Thank you, your kindness made all the difference in the world at that moment.“

“Ok so def mixed feelings about here. Pozole, chilaquiles, quesadillas and watermelon lemonade were all literally amazing. No doubt food was on point. Here’s my concerns. No chips until we were sitting there for 20 mins. We also waited 42 mins for our food. Table behind us got the same thing and got their food before us. I went up there and said something and from one server I was told “I don’t know what’s going on”. Then cashier told me “she would check and she didn’t know what was going on”. Cashier was sweet and did try to help. I think they skipped our order and when she went back there that’s when they made it. Food is a 9.5. My drink was a 10. Service is a 2! If we weren’t in such a hurry, it probably wouldn’t have been as big of a deal but because it made us late for a baby shower it definitely was a big deal. I’ll def be back and hopefully the experience will be better.“

No greeting, not we will be right with you. Not a word! One young lady ( Wish I would have gotten her name) she was sitting right there, preparing serving utensils. She did not say a word as we stood there. I've never felt so uncomfortable, unwelcome, & disregarded! Never! Finally, another wait staff that was helping over at the check out computer, walked over & asked the young lady who was sitting there to assist us! Still, not a word to us! The young lady stood up & with the worse attitude, she asked did we want to sit inside or outside. While I was asking my husband his preference, she rolled her eyes & and rudely asked , " Inside or out!? Again, I wish I had asked her name, but she appeared to be the youngest. Between being disregarded as we walked in & stood, and her attitude, I told my husband I was uncomfortable & wanted to leave! He pushed back & said let's give it a chance beyond this! So we stayed & were seated outside as we preferred. Then comes our waitress! What a pleasant surprise & she turned our experience around! We learned that she had not been there but 3 days or 3 weeks. ( I forget) her name is Amanda & she is pregnant. She's such a pleasant & nice person! We felt badly for sitting outside, because she worked so diligently. It was quite a walk in the heat, because we chose to sit outside on the pier that was a bit of a walk. Again, she was so pleasant & professional! The drinks & food are superb! From the oyster 🦪 appetizers, to the platters! Delicious! Some of the best seafood & side orders, ever! Truly! Drinks are flavorful, delicious, and they aren't stingy or scarce with the liquor. 😆 I would absolutely visit again, but truly afraid of the treatment, unless it's Amanda again“

“Yo, Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen in Pasadena is absolutely fire! Our family of five (two adults, three kids) rolled up from East Fwy, and this spot was straight up incredible. The grilled salmon was pure perfection, flaky, seasoned just right, and only about $14, a total win for that gourmet vibe. The Chicken Alfredo? Creamy, saucy, pasta goals for around $13, with portions so big we had leftovers for days. The kids went wild for the Penne Pasta Marinara (about $5.99 each), scarfing down that tangy sauce like champs. And don’t get me started on the honey butter croissants, free with entrees, flaky, sweet, and so good we were ready to grab the whole basket to go. For five of us, the bill was around $60 with tax and tip, which is unreal for scratch made eats.

The service was top tier, our server was awesome, keeping drinks topped off, dropping jokes that had us all cackling, and handling our kids’ sauce mess like a pro. The whole crew was on point, making a busy Monday night feel chill and welcoming. This place is a family friendly gem, cozy and perfect for a squad meal. We’re already hyped to come back for more salmon, pasta, and those unreal croissants. If you’re in Houston, hit up Cheddar’s, it delivers all the vibes for a great meal that won’t break the bank.
