Sports Bars near Selma

“As a Veteran Hooter Girl from VA and an avid traveler, I have high expectations for the Hooter restaurants we (my husband & kids) visit across the US. Without sounding too cliche’ the Selma, TX Hooters was by far one of THE BEST experiences we have ever had. Shea, was very pleasant, welcoming, and accommodating. Shea also jumped at the opportunity to sing a special “Happy Hooters Birthday” to our son, Preston, turning 9! Our pictures and videos will be treasured! The food was perfectly prepared, timely, and delivered by staff that jumped at the opportunity to help out! The restaurant was very clean and tasteful. If this was a “shoppers critique” this location would pass with very high marks! My only recommendation to management would be to stock the shopping area with some t-shirts from the “Old Guys Rule” themes, they are awesome!! We also need options to collect something small from each specific location like magnets, stickers, or poker chips. We loved you guys and hope to visit when we return to San Antonio! Thank you!“

“I came to Pluckers because I was really craving some wings. Plus, I had just come from a Spurs game and was able to score five free wings thanks to their sponsorship—definitely a win!

It was a Monday night, and the restaurant wasn’t crowded at all. I arrived around 8:30 PM and was immediately seated. I had my heart set on a Mega-Rita, but unfortunately, the frozen drink machines were already down. Disappointing, but the rest of the drink menu was still available.

Since it was Monday, their special was All-You-Can-Eat Wings for $33. I decided to go all in and ordered lemon pepper and honey BBQ bone-in wings with a small order of waffle fries. The wings did not disappoint—they were great in size and packed with flavor. The waffle fries were just okay, nothing too special.

To finish off my meal, I couldn’t resist dessert after seeing the sign that said, “Pluck your diet, order dessert.” That got a chuckle out of me, so I went with the brownie, which my server highly recommended. While it was a good size, the flavor was underwhelming—honestly, the Chick-fil-A brownie is better and cheaper.

Overall, I had a good experience. The service was great, the wings were solid, and I’d definitely come back next time I’m craving wings. Hopefully, next time the drink machine will be up and running, so I can finally get that Mega-Rita!“

“Go here alot as a local band/music supporter so Went to see New Band I hadnt seen, they are a great venue for Good local bands, has a really nice Patio area, Never a cover always nuf parking, good prices, except tonight had a strange new experience🤔 i bought 1st beer at 3.75 at like 1130 paid cash with one bartender then for some reason for 2nd domestic the other bartender told me they were 4 bucks so I asked her why they went up in less than a hr and her not so intelligent response was Umm they are 4.80 w/tax and we dont give quarters!!!???🤔🤷‍♀️ Ummm the last bartender did cuz I put 1.25 from my change in tip jar so ummm Thank U for playin and honey ck ur math 🤷‍♀️🤣smh Sorry cant stand ignorance like that and never had to deal with that b4 so not gonna hold that against em. “Allie was the absolute best!! My boyfriend and I were only there for one night and were looking for somewhere to go, we went to Eddie’s Tavern and we met Allie and she made us feel right at home she is the best I would absolutely recommend her to any and everyone!!!“

I’ve known Carsen for a while now, and every time I see him and Annie at the ticket bar, I know it’s going to be a smooth and positive experience. They both bring such good energy — professional, friendly, and always on point. Whether it’s a hectic night or a chill one, Carsen and Annie handle it with ease and make everyone feel welcome. You can tell they love what they do, and it shows. Leave Definitely two of the best — the ticket bar wouldn’t be the same without them!“

“Fantastic spot to play pool, darts, and smoke INSIDE. I thought there weren’t anymore places in San Antonio that allowed smoking inside but I was wrong. This place really is a diamond in the rough, I was actually in my way to another bar when I saw this one. Decided to stop by and stayed all night. Will be returning.“

“We were here for a baby shower and it was the best one I have ever been to. The bar staff were great, they were slinging drinks quick! And they were so nice too. I love all the specials they had going on, which were posted don the chalk wall behind the bar. Btw there is a thing called train shots, every time the train passes they do $2 shots. The back patio was fantastic! Plenty of room with lots of tables and a stage for live music. Kids are allowed till 8. So it was great to see them all running around. And there were 2 good trucks to get some grub. We will be back for sure, baby shower or not.“

“Our first time here and we will be back! Dinner with an incredible atmosphere. Why incredible? A sports bar and grill with a classy vibe, TVs everywhere to watch all your sports games, beautiful bar with a signature of organization, artistic vibe of guitars hanging off the walls and ceiling, soccer headquarters for sure when World Cup begins, and a chef who cooks incredible where I hope to call him an “artist.”

Most important of all….Bartenders/Gentlemen, Allen and Jeremiah are so welcoming and treat you with warmth. They may be bartenders but they are more than that. They are Product Managers and proudly run the business and market Encore! Kudos to these gentlemen! -Steve Casias“

“Great prices, fun locals! My kind of dive bar snuggled neatly in the corner of our neighborhood shopping center. You can get a tattoo at Mr. Lucky's, hit up the thrift store and chow down on your choice of restaurants before you go in for a bit of fun and boozery. Definitely worth a stop! Only request: play the Big Lebowski on one of the screens, please!

“Wow! Impressive property! We feel like royalty and everything has really exceeded our expectations! The rooms are pristine. The staff is so personable and professional. The spa is amazing and I had an amazing massage. We will be here all week and I am looking forward to another massage with my husband joining me next time. We have found our new favorite spot to stay while in town!“

“Gave it a four only because of Monica the bartender she’s amazing. Doorman Gonzo however is a power tripping joke. A group of us came in 8 to be exact 7 females one male, we came in from the monthly truck meet. All but 3 females were mid to late 40’s including myself (49) the male my boyfriend is 51 we walk in go to the bar and Gonzo shows up out of no where (wasn’t at the door) and starts telling me I need your ID, the younger ones had theirs mine was in my truck, I told him my date of birth clearly I’m way over 21 but then he starts power tripping, Monica told him no it’s fine they’re of age and he proceeds to repeat over and over obnoxiously “I need to see ID” what a joke normally I’d be flattered however he was just being a j**** we go in there frequently during our truck meets and I’ve never experienced a doorman abusing his pseudo authority they way he did, I’ll make sure when going there next month we send a scout in to make sure that j*** isn’t “manning” the place. I will say that I’ve always had really great experiences with all other bartenders and doormen there.“
