Ordered some Gorditas and they were amazing. Went yesterday after work to eat. I was skeptical to order the pozole because I only like my grandmothers and moms. I was blown away on how good it was. They give you a good portion of it. Recommend this place. The only actual authentic Mexican restaurant in Sherman!
Hola, no acomstumbro a pedir comida, pero hoy se me antojo, .. pero PÉSIMO! Pedí un torta de lengua, y me dieron puro pan, y no era recién echa, bien aguada, pedí unos tacos con todo, y no eran los que pedí, y no traían verdura. Mi esposa ordenó unos tacos también, de carne y le dieron puros pellejos, y al final se los dimos a nuestro perros, y ni ellos la quisieron🤮😖🥸
Ordered nachos and chimichanga made me me very sick FOOD POISONING!!!!!

La Ranchera Auténtic Mexican Food is a hidden gem and one of the best restaurants in the Sherman/Denison area. It is a small, not fancy place with a charming and authentic atmosphere that makes you feel like you are in Mexico. The food is very authentic, excellent, and delicious, with all homemade items. The homemade corn tortillas are nice, and the beans and rice are fabulous. Specific standout dishes include the fantastic Huevos Rancheros, the bomb chili relleno, the steak Chile relleno, the red pozole, and the Gorditas. The special of the day, a huge burrito with shredded chicken, is also noted. Portions are good and prices are very reasonable. Service is excellent, attentive, very informative, and great. It is a good place to eat for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, and is considered the only actual authentic Mexican restaurant in Sherman.
