“We were visiting the Shiner area and decided to check out the locally owned establishments and where the locals eat.Luckily, it was a late lunch. So, there were some open parking spots in the parking lot. We had our choice of tables to sit at and were promptly greeted for our drink order and provided menus, utensils and chips, and salsa.Tip: If you like spicier salsa, ask for it as they have two other kinds. The four (4) of us decided to split our plates, so we ordered 2 plates of Mary's Plate - which is a Tosada, crispy taco, enchilada, rice, and beans. We did order some tortillas (they are homemade and fresh - yum), and one in our party ordered a Carne Guisada taco - they remarked it was very good and meat was lean. All of the food was good, the service was fantastic and the staff was very attentive.I hope, if you stop by, your experience is as good as ours“

“First time here and we came for breakfast. I had the Migas La Mexicana while the Mrs. Had the bacon and egg plate. Both were very good and large portions.Atmosphere is nice and clean and the waitress, while busy busy, kept up with asking how we’re doing. Will come back to try lunch and dinner plates.“

“I've never had food there I didn't like. A plus is that they have good non-Mexican choices like their chicken fried steak and regular steaks. I highly recommend their grilled vegetables side. They also offer breakfast all day. Service is usually very good with waitstaff checking so often that I usually just have to tell them to check back in 5 minutes or so. The TVs are so low that you never hear them to interrupt table conversation. When it's really busy, it can get loud, especially in the very front room due to all the hard surfaces. There's no mistaking that this is a Mexican restaurant. They do have a drive-thru window which is great to pick up to take home or get a breakfast burrito in the morning. They have also restarted their Sunday lunch buffet which includes both light & dark turkey, dressing, gravy, and cranberry sauce every week.“
