“I had a brisket burrito, which was a pile of sliced brisket wrapped in a homemade tortilla! Fried cabbage, suggested by staff, which had bacon and onions! And also beans which I also recommend! It was a chilly day so we sat in the indoor seating which filled quickly! Yummy food! Adorable atmosphere and real people staff! 100% recommend!”

“What a gem, great service, great food and a terrifically decorated store. Definitely enjoyed stopping in here for lunch. My sandwich was freshly made to order and tasted great. Staff were considerate and helpful. Such a shame this place is so far from home, I’d love to have something like this nearby.”

“Slaton bakery has been around as far back as I can remember. They have such great treats. It’s also a bit of an antique shop. I saw a few metal lunch boxes for sale and it brought back so many memories. The cake I ordered was superb.”

“I have enjoyed the food and prices for many years. Covid took the salad bar away. But the daily specials are great home cooking. Chicken fry, hamburger steak, and roast is my favorite. My friend says the best catfish Friday for 100 miles. Best burgers around lubbock Tx. The employees are nice and the owner is a sweetheart. Everyday the elders gather here for coffee and talk about ranching and life! HOMETOWN GOODNESS WITH REAL FOOD!”

With so many dishes to choose from, it's not an easy decision to place an order! I would definitely recommend this place, to anyone looking for a great meal, at an affordable price!”

“Order given was delivered with some wrong items not ordered. Had to have car running with a/c on. Had to wait 25 minutes for food to arrive. It was a hot day there with time of arrival was wear and tear on vehicle while waiting. Then take in account I had to take longer to get the right order. It was very crowded at 12:05 p.m. Vehicles were in every stall. Place was clean.”

“I ordered sausage gravy and biscuits, when I got home I had a biscuit and two packages of grape jelly, went back and they said they didn't have any more gravy. There is a black girl that while your trying to order she's talking, worthless.”
