Eve was our ambassador the day I brought some friends in for a tasting. She did not know I’m industry, nor did she know how high a bar we set for quality at Covington Cellars; so we weren’t getting special treatment.

Eve was magnificent leading us through the flight. She captured the stories of each wine and answered the questions her guests had with ease. She’s a natural at hospitality, and that’s been my experience each time I’ve visited Jennblossom. Quality matters here, too. Highly recommend.“

“I really loved our quick visit out to French Connection! It has this amazing Texas-French fusion vibe in the atmosphere that is absolutely so enticing to me!

We did not have time to schedule official tastings at all the places we wanted to visit and I was initially bummed that I had not been able to schedule a tasting here. We found we had a quick break in our schedule before our next tasting up the road at CALAIS, so we stopped in just to check it out. I'm so glad we did!

We ended up sitting out on their beautiful patio with a glass of their signature white and it was a lovely way to take a break and enjoy their beautiful views. Wide open spaces all around, covered patios with plenty of shade and seating, wind chimes in the air.... Heaven!!

We will definitely return out here soon and either do a tasting or eat a meal on the patio. The ladies in the shop were SOOOOO funny and sweet! It's worth the drive out to get to that peaceful view but also just to chat with them!

“I’m a huge wine snob, but also a life long Texan. Calais is the first winery that I tasted Cab Sauv at that held up to Napa. Most other Texas Cab Sauv feels very watered down and too fruit forward. Not Ben’s wine. Take the time and do the Cab Sauv experience tasting, you won’t be disappointed. We took home a case at the end and are already drinking a bottle at home and have zero remorse! Don’t sleep on this great winery!“

“Until I can make it to Texas, I’m bringing Diamond Vineyards to me in central New York! I ordered a shipment with selections of Tempranillo, Tannat, Mourvedre, and Melee and loved them all! Shipping was easy with lots of options and the wine was packed with care. I can see why the Tempranillo is a favorite with a unique flavor and warm rich feel perfect for a cold snowy night by the fire. I will replenish my stash and hope to visit the source, soon. The owner, Barb, creates a welcoming and fantastically fun atmosphere with her personality, available games, and local crafts for sale. We meet several really cool locals. If we lived closer we'd hang out all the time!“

Located in the scenic Fredericksburg countryside, Foyt Winery exudes charm and elegance, setting the stage for a perfect day of indulging in fine wines and learning the art of winemaking.
Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by the friendly staff who guided us through the tasting room, showcasing a wide selection of their exquisite wines. Each sip was a delight to the senses, showcasing the craftsmanship and dedication that goes into every bottle produced at Foyt Winery. The staff's knowledge and passion for winemaking shone through as they shared fascinating insights about the winemaking process and the unique characteristics of each wine we sampled.
