I know for some of you indulging in donuts like this isn't always a regular thing, but they now offer MINI versions of the massive donuts you're already a fan of, which allows you to feel more "responsible" eating them AND allows you to try all the different varieties they have and of course justifies more regular visits hehe! We ordered a small sausage and cheese kolache and a large sausage and jalapeño kolache, heated up, and they were perfect. They also have croissant kolaches which I’m very interested in trying in the future.

I wanted to try the glazed donuts as a baseline… and it was incredible. Pillowy soft and delicious. One of the best glazed donuts I’ve ever had. I’m sure the donut holes are incredible.

I always have to get a sprinkle donut, so we got a chocolate with sprinkles and a white with sprinkles. They were both great, but I would definitely get the white sprinkle donut next time.

“I like their donuts! The dozen donuts was very affordable ($10) comparing to other places. The cons were: the options were limited and no free donut holes for buying a dozen donuts. But, I’m cool with it.

Overall, I’ll be happy to stop by and get another one again. Appreciate the lady on the front.“

“Amazing, consistent quality. Fast and friendly service. I love the boudin kolaches the most, but I've never been disappointed with any of the items.

The kolaches strike the perfect balance between light and filling. They are a good handful size, but the bread is soft and fluffy. The spiral style wrapping on the boudin kolache reminds me of the way I used to peel apart those Pillsbury biscuits at Thanksgiving as a kid.

The donuts are dangerously good. It's hard to resist getting one of each because they just melt in your mouth. Even later in the morning, they manage to keep a good variety stocked. I'm not personally a fan of the cake donuts, but if I'm going to eat them, I'll get them here. The eclairs are custard filled. They manage to be generous on the filling without it being too much.

As of writing this review, they are currently closed for vacation, but after being to other disappointing shops in the area, I eagerly await their reopening on July 9th. Don't sleep on this shop!“

“I have been living in Lakeway for over a year now and I just recently found out about Crown Donut after going to other places in the local area for the longest. Now I am obsessed and have become a regular. These are handsdown the best donuts in the area. They aren't too sweet they're made just right. Soft and light to the touch. The hazlenut coffee is great! The kolaches and breakfast sandwiches warmed up are phenomenal! And the lady is so nice! If you order a donut(s) she'll always throw in a donut hole. :)“

“I experienced their donuts at a Lunar New Year event at Flow Yoga. I’m not usually a donut fan, but gave these a try. They are denser than typical, much closer to the ones my mom used to make. The flavors were so good! I got the tea infused one, the black sesame seed one, the yuzu and the mandarin. They were all delicious! If you need a new donut assortment for your next gathering, get these. However, please watch out for the leftmost stall in the toilets. Someone forgot to put down the seat before me, so imagine my surprise when I sat down and dipped my rear end into the coffee-like toilet water much like a cops doughnut.

“This is a hole in the wall mastery kitchen. They have some of the best in town, I actually like them more than Krispy Kreme.The coffee and tea's are excellent! Sometimes I go back for just a coffee on the run and end up leaving with a box of fresh donuts. Heated if you like. And custom decorated for party's. The setting and location are perfect, and of course there's no other drink like the Iced Turbo. I have often returned to Texas and made sure to stay at the Hotel San Jose so that I can be steps away from my favorite coffee spot. If you love coffee don't leave town without going to one of the Jo's locations in Austin, TX.“
