“So the wife and I were looking for a different place to eat in Texarkana on our day of taking care of business. We had heard about this place before, but had been told by some it was meh. But we wanted to try it and after looking at their menu options and the price, we were pleasantly surprised how reasonable it was. So we traveled to this little diner and gave it a try. We were very pleased. The place looks like your old ma and pa little dives. And that's what I love. We were greeted by the nicest (but very vocal) lady. She was a hoot. We went on a Monday so we got the Monday specials. My wife got the Chicken Spaghetti and I got the Chicken Fried Steak. The specials come with potatoes and gravy, green beans and a salad, as well as a dessert options (which they have plenty of). The meal also included a drink for under $12. I will say the Chicken Fried Steak could have had more salt and might not have been as tender as I would have liked (which is why I can't give 5 stars, but it's closer to 4.5). But my wife's chicken spaghetti was excellent. The service was quick and friendly. I loved the paintings on the wall with their positive messages and I loved the antique rack with all the older items. Overall it was a good experience and we will be back. I will say it can get busy very quick and there is not a ton of seating so get there early. But either way give this place a try. You won't regret it.“

The jalapeno grits are a little too heavy on the jalapenos for my taste, but that didn't stop me from eating them. “Amazing service! My sister and I were traveling to a funeral and we didn't realize the cafe didn't open until 1030 but they gladly accommodated us and we were able to eat early. Very friendly and would highly recommend to anyone in the area. Thank you!“
“Great place to stop for lunch on the road through Arkansas. The restaurant (including the bathrooms) is very clean and the food is hot and fresh, cooked to order with a wide variety of fried and grilled items plus vegetable sides. I got the grilled shrimp plate with beans and rice, slaw, an extra side of some mustard greens, and hushpuppies. Everything was steaming hot and very well seasoned. The coleslaw was some of the best I have ever had and all the dips/sauces are excellent. I want to try everything on their menu but sadly I was just passing through! Would go out of my way to return.“
“SUPER fast drive through! We had a pretty big order with a few customizations and the employee taking our purser didn’t miss a thing! Our order came out perfect, and the employee handling the window took extra care in checking we had everything. All workers seemed very friendly! Props to that team, wish we had them in our hometown!“
“I called in on Saturday morning to see if I could get 50 fillets plus sides for my family after a funeral. Mr.James took ownership to make sure that my family was taken care of! I appreciate him and the staff. Even though my family was in bereavement, they enjoyed the delicious, freshly cooked fish from here. Big Thanks to you all at Wayne's catfish!“
“Not everybody's too worried if they miss a little thing on your order like cheese on your sandwich I was about to head out the door when the manager stopped me and said sir I'm glad I got you we forgot to put cheese on your burgers if you'll hand them back to me I'll run in and fix that for you came right back out super polite super friendly these guys always are for the most part!“
“My wife wanted a quick light lunch before driving home.This Dairy Queen was the first place we saw.I got her a hamburger and sweet ice tea.I wanted ice cream cone.I had forgotten how good an ice cream cone is on a hot Saturday.The mailman makes it his lunch spot. “This is less about the Wendy’s and more about the employees that were working tonight 12/11/23 they were phenomenal! The two girls I interacted with at the window were so polite, kind, courteous, and accommodating! They didn’t get inconvenienced when I asked for extra sauce, they weren’t quick to close the window on me (I was in drive thru) and I had ordered an extra four piece nugget and asked for ranch, but they put ranch and also a sweet and sour sauce in the bag, and I am so glad they did because it was a new discovery for me (the spicy nuggets go perfectly with sweet and sour sauce!!) it seemed like their way of recommending something different and allowed me to step outside of my comfort zone and try something unfamiliar. I only interacted with the two girls but whoever was cooking did a great job too, the burger was excellent. But I noticed the girls were collecting the nuggets and God bless them because they even threw in an extra nugget (it was the end of the night and close to closing time so I don’t want managers to be upset about this) it really made my night. After a long, tiresome day, and low on money, it was small acts like that that made all the difference. Bless them. This Wendy’s has some fantastic workers. I have been to other Wendy’s where they slam the window shut before I can say anything, roll their eyes when I stay there until they open the window again, act irritated when I ask for extra sauce and slam it into my hand, and talk to me as if I have completely inconvenienced them simply by purchasing food from the establishment. This was a refreshing experience and I hope these employees are bestowed all the best opportunities life has to offer. People don’t know how impactful simple small acts of kindness can be, especially to those having a rough day or time in life. Food was as good except for the meat on the philly cheese steak was overcooked and dry; the breakfast meal that my companion ordered was good. “Nice little store with courteous staff. I like that it stays open later then the others nearby like til 1am or later sometimes. He was closing down once when I pulled up he already had the lights off and the window locked, but he opened the window and took care of me anyway. I don't forget that kind of extra service. Oh and this store even has games in it.“
